This was an amazing house, with incredible views of the bay and Point Lobos. It easily and comfortably managed our party of 10 adults. We cooked some dinners in, and the kitchen was large and well-appointed so we had everything we needed. Very clean and quiet. We couldn't have asked for more.

This property was everything we looked for and more. Our family of 7 went and stayed for the week to celebrate our birthdays. Everyone had their own space as well as areas to come together for dinner and conversation. Even took our dogs who enjoyed their stay as much as we did. We hope to stay here again.

Family getaway

The property is beautiful with plenty of space for all of us. We enjoyed our time here, would recommend having some board games, and pans to cook with. check in was very easy. Would stay here again.

Great getaway!

The house and garden was beautiful! We enjoyed sitting and playing catch in the front/driveway area and also sitting on the back deck to look at the ocean. We had a wonderful, relaxing time!

Great house! Very clean. Large deck looking over the lush landscape and ocean beyond. Sunsets were quite calming. Kitchen is small compared to the rest of the house, which is grand. So if you’re looking to cook up a storm and have everyone hang out near you, this is not that design. We moved the furniture around so we made it work. Everything else is as described… met our purpose.

Just Perfect

Ten adults in our group and many are very seasoned travelers. This property exceeded expectations in every possible way. Views and grounds spectacular. Estate was beautiful and completely equipped. Beds very comfortable to all and bed linens and towels of high quality. The couple of questions we had were quickly & most graciously answered by the Sanctuary staff. Could not imagine a more perfect private retreat by the sea.

The two master bedrooms are very well appointed, as are the guest bedrooms. The guest bathroom however, needs a little TLC. Having a shower curtain on both sides of the shower is a bit claustrophobic. Two of the three fireplaces worked very well however the third was unable to get lit, which was a disappointment because that was the most inviting living room space. Overall, we would stay here again, for sure!

Also the faucets and shower heads need fixed or cleaned well. The master shower had light pressure but the blockages on the shower head made it difficult to rinse hair.i was also told one of the guest bathroom faucets was “dripping” when fully turned on. Overall though we had a great stay and would love to come back!

Great vacation spot

Spacious accommodations. Plenty of room for all. Quiet location. Comfortable beds. Nice showers. Plenty of refrigerator space. Had a glitch with dishwasher, and needed more dishtowels, which rental service provided. Dishwasher righted itself. We just didn't understand it's cycle. Trash pick-up ended up on a different day than the instructions stated, but again, no problem resulted. Yard is fenced, a bit low in front, so easily breached by those needing watching. Views are fantastic. Porch for us was cool and pleasant. We had a lot of offshore breeze with fog. Close enough to food markets. Carmel and Monterey close. Beautiful state parks around.

Beautiful Views

3 nights wasn't enough. The beach was close and lifeguard on duty, very nice. 5 minutes to groceries and shops. Issues with dvd player when trying to watch family video. Ice maker never really worked. Master with the view was gorgeous but shower water pressure horrible. Plenty of room for 10. 6 adults and 4 children ages 7-1. Loved the yard with the grass area. We enjoyed our stay, we would return and recommend this property. I feel like the lusting photos do not show all the amenities. For one outdoor seating and the wine room. Updated photos would benefit.

The house was a hit for our kids and their spouses. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The view was amazing!The house sits up high in a nice neighborhood. Good daytime access, but dark at night. We had two little pups with us who enjoyed the back yard.The house was nicely located for day trips to Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur.
