This motel was in a great and easy location to be able to walk to everything from. The room was clean, but very basic, and a shelf or small table to put our toiletries on in the bathroom (and soap in the shower) would have been helpful!

We loved the kitschy room. Including an in wall heater in the bathroom ala 1972. The bed was comfortable. Of course all of the village was right there to walk to. A lovely stay.

Perfect Spot for a Chill Weekend

This small re-imaged motel was perfectly located for a chill weekend visit to Carmel Valley. Right in the heart of the village...plenty of outdoor chairs to enjoy a cuppa coffee or glass of wine, and a small pool to relax by. Priced right, too. Would stay here again in an instant.

It is small but clean, with a nice pool. The gardening is nice and gives each of the room an outside area with some privacy. Check in and out was easy and efficient.

This quaint little inn was just what I was looking for in Carmel Valley. It was cute, clean and was close to all the places that I visited during my stay. The price was reasonable mostly because of the lack of amenities that you would find in the more expensive hotels and resorts in the area. But if you are okay with the boutique hotel concept and do not need a restaurant on site, room service, a wine bar or valet parking, it is a nice, quiet place to stay!

Amazing in every way!

What an amazing place right in th Carmel Valley village! Easy access to so many restaurants and wine tasting rooms. I loved all the beautiful paths and parks to walk with our dog as well. The motel itself is quaint, upgraded and comfortable. The staff are so nice and accommodating. It doesn’t get better than this! Thanks for everything!

Lovely, quaint motel in the heart of Carmel Valley

This very sweet motel is smack dab in the middle of Carmel Valley close to restaurants and wine tasting rooms. It is extremely convenient, safe, and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to try to make your stay as wonderful as possible. They are very generous with Keurig pods, water, and little things that are nice to have in a motel like wine opener and cheese knife. Don't hesitate to stay in this truly lovely motel.

Corola the property manager was amazing. The power had gone out in the area right before we got there, she was going to get us lanterns but it came back on so we called and let her know. Unfortunately the power only stayed on for 15 mins and then went back out the rest of the night. We disnt want to bother Corola to come out with the hope the power would come back on. Overall the property is very nice and bed was comfortable. Will need to visit again so we can really enjoy it more with power next time :). Corola was really amazing and refunded our night which really went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Appreciate her and will be back in the future.

Quirky and Convenient

The property is quirky more than it is European. The sheets are softer than almost anything I've ever laid on, wow! The towels are fluffy and thirsty too. They put the little things in the room, fridge, microwave, WATER, knife, corkscrew, coffee maker, coffee and tea, cups, plates, knives, spoons and forks. Our hostess was kind and not terribly intrusive, just everywhere all the time minding the property as you'd expect. A short walk or drive to lots of wineries and places to eat. But this is Northern California, so there's no "budget" option, however, you eat so well, you don't really mind. Prices are high, but quality is too! Overall three stars (mnore like 3.75, if I could give it) because it is more like a roadside motel than a "European Lodge" but that's okay once you get past the name. Enjoy this little space for a long weekend or just pass through.

Love this place.

Things started out great before we even arrived. We recieved a text from property managemnent telling us our room number and door code. We walked into the room and noticed quite a few things. 1. The room was small, but not terribly so. 2. The room had literally everything you could want or need for an enjoyable stay. A coffee maker with a full compliment of coffees. sweeteners, etc. None of those stupid plastic envelopes with one sweetner, one powdered creamer and a stir stick. (I hate those). Closet with pleanty of hangers. Extra blanket, etc. 3. The bathroom also had everything you need. 4. The towels were high quality and very soft. 5. Pamphlet with Local dining and shopping areas. 6. the bed was very comfy and the pillows are first rate. All in all a fantastic deal for the price.

We loved the location, gardens, pool area, wildlife, and affordable price. The tv worked, inside was clean, and included a mini fridge and microwave. The owner was very nice. Things were enjoyable for three days while we were the only guests. When friendly neighbors arrived, we realized that the walls are tissue paper thin. We could hear quiet conversations on both sides of our room. Felt like I needed to say BLESS YOU when a neighbor sneezed. Even though their tv was at a low volume, I could still hear all the dialogue. The outside space is also tiny with just a few inches between chairs in the shared patio space. Everyone was lovely but it was impossible to relax with talking on both sides of the walls. Neighbor left their radio on low volume when they ran a few errands and it made us so crazy we left for an unplanned outing. Got stung twice by bees when at the pool. Not sure where hive was but each time we were on pool deck bees started swarming us. Chased us inside but then we had the neighbor noise issue.

Great stay!

My husband and I loved our stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and it was great to have a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig in the room. Communication from staff was great as well. We were happily surprised at what a cute little town this was. We visited Pelio winery and listened to live music, had a wonderful dinner at Rustica, and a great breakfast at Trailside Cafe the next morning, which was all walking distance from the hotel.
