I had my service dog w me on this visit to Carmel. I arrived early and though it was a busy weekend, Mike at the front desk called me when my room was ready - about an hr b4 check in! The room was great & was able to park right in frt of the room on the 4th floor!! A beautiful balcony w an ocean view, king bed & fireplace! I will be back.

The property and room are gorgeous with a great view of the ocean and a wonderful deck! There is a fireplace in every room and very spacious. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and if you open the windows you can hear the roar of the ocean. No noisy traffic or bright lights at night. Everything is spotless and the front desk person is so helpful and kind. It is especially amazing for the price and quality also it is a perfect location downtown with a little store next door. One of our favorite hotels, the pictures do not do it justice. We will always choose this hotel when staying in Carmel.

The customer service was amazing and the young man that checked us in was so helpful and took the time to recommend some restaurants and sight seeing in the area. We enjoyed a two night stay in The Carmel Bay View Inn. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and the grounds were beautiful. Parking was included, and everything was within walking distance. Our room had a fireplace which provided more ambiance than heat. There was also a small wall heater that worked well. The room had a fridge and coffee maker. The bed itself was really comfortable. The few things that weren’t so great, were as others have stated, It was noisy. You could hear people walking, talking, kids running etc. both outside, and in the rooms above. The pillows were a little harder than I prefer and there wasn’t enough blankets. (To be fair, I didn’t ask for any extra, which I’m sure would have been provided.) Breakfast was also included which was nice but not the best we’ve had. But you won’t starve, as there were lots of options. Even with the few con’s, We would choose this hotel again.
