The hotel was newly built. We were transferred to an upgraded room which was amazing. Their breakfast buffet was delightful and staff were all friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay.

The location is convenient to get to the beach and has a small mall nearby. The staff were very professional and welcoming. The room was clean and quiet. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

It is impossible to vacation in Cartegena and not get scammed and/or robbed. When we arrived they claimed they were upgrading us to their newer hotel. This was actually a bait and switch. The alleged newer, nicer hotel was a smaller building with less amenities and smaller rooms. The "rooftop" bar is just a balcony, no bar to be found. The views are awful. We had 3 rooms and all you could see from every window was the buildings next door and various construction equipment. The building must have also been so "new" that they hadn't established pest control because we were greeted by an enormous roach in our bathroom after one of our excursions. Speaking of excursions, DO NOT book with the people the hotel recommends. They even let them set up in the lobby. I specifically asked if they would pick us up and drop us off at the hotel when booking and they told me yes. The day of, they picked us up but dropped us off in the middle of nowhere. We had to walk pretty far just to find a taxi to take us back. Not to mention, on the excursion when we finally got to Cholon the tour guide who promised to protect us actually primed us and took our orders for the scammers. What they do is show you one price on the card machine and then add more after you've swiped your card. If you think you'll use cash instead keep it attached to your body, they steal EVERYTHING. And at Cholon they put you in the water with no option to sit on the actual beach.

I got to the hotel and they moved me to a new hotel. Said it was a room upgrade but not a big fan of having to swap hotels with no prior notice. More importantly I don't have my room cleaned much cause I reuse my towels and am pretty eco friendly and clean already. So when I ask for my room clean when I leave and even tell them there is a tip on the bed for the cleaner I expect that my room is clean when I get back, which it was not. Once I got back and was irritated they were all hands on deck. Most likely just one person who nodded at me and either had no idea what I was saying (I don't speak Spanish well) or as soon as I left was like "yea, whatever dude". Either way between that and the room switch it went from 4 starts to 3.

La zona del hotel es muy fea, la habitación es muy chiquita y muy incómoda, el baño es incómodisimo, el desayuno y el Cafe terriblemente malos. María Alejandra la chica del turno de la mañana fue amable pero la chica del turno de la tarde grosera, poco apoyadora y cero empatica. No recomiendo este hotel para hospedarse.
