「The hotel aims to be a diverse resort, but the actual management appears chaotic and inefficient. Staff lack proper training in service, hygiene, and English proficiency, and the maintenance of hotel facilities is poor. Overall, the hygiene standards of the rooms and restaurant do not reach five-star levels, and the quality does not match the price. Unfortunately, this is currently the only upscale hotel on the island.」

「Hotel was clean and staff, like most Vietnamese were lovely, very friendly and very helpful.
Hard to get any information from hotel due to a little bit of communication breakdown on the day we tried, but there are plenty
of tour shops around the area.
A lot of construction across the road, but it will be amazing when finished.」

「We had a fantastic stay at Spring Garden Hotel in Cát Bà. The hotel was lovely, but what really made our stay special was the incredible level of care and personal attention from the staff.
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, but a special mention has to go to Emma, who was absolutely amazing throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She helped us organise trips, arrange taxis and transport, and gave us lots of useful local information and advice.
One example really...

「Dear sir
Why did no one tell me that I couldn't bring food to the island and I had to pay extra for it after so many correspondences?
Because we booked 10 rooms. So I specifically notified the name of each room. Why was not ready when I arrived at the hotel?
Also front desk charged 2 times for our dinner buffet.please make sure refund.

「Cat Ba View Hotel may not be the most modern or luxurious hotel, and it doesn't offer amenities like a pool or gym, but what it lacks in facilities, it more than makes up for in hospitality.
This is a small, family-run hotel, and Nam, the owner, along with his family, truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their genuine kindness, warmth, and exceptional hospitality made our stay memorable. It's the kind of personal attention and care that you rarely find at larger hotels.
