About this property
Raymond's Bakery - Creekside Cabin and Breakfast
Nestled among the redwoods of Cazadero, Creekside Cottage is located in the oasis of Elim Grove, on the grounds of the award-winning Raymond's Bakery – the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Sonoma County.
We enjoy providing a warm, appetizing atmosphere in this undiscovered woodland paradise along tranquil Austin Creek, only 20 minutes from Guerneville, Russian River wineries, or the Pacific Ocean.
Creekside Cottage sleeps 2 in an crisp, light wood interior with stylish furnishings and a queen bed. It also features a cozy sitting room as well as a small garden view room with a daybed (with trundle), a propane wood stove, a microwave & fridge, and a private bathroom with shower.
The cottage is only a stone's throw from Austin Creek and a few minute walk up the creek to a swimming hole. Wake up to the bubbling of the creek, take a plunge, enjoy strolls along nearby trails, play bocce, relax under the gazebo and nap in the garden room or under the Gravenstein apple tree. Share a romantic evening in front of the propane wood stove or by the campfire.
Please note that Creekside Cottage can sleep up to 4 people including the twin daybed with lower trundle. There is a per night charge for each additional person beyond double occupancy. Children 4 and under are free.
For larger groups of up to 17 persons, book Elim Grove Cottage together with Gravenstein Cottage, Paradise Grove Cottage, Creekside Cottage and Baker's Loft - all located on the grounds near the bakery.
'We stayed a few nights with Mark and Elizabeth, and all I can say is they are the best hosts ever. . .Our daughter loved the little playground next to the bakery, it was also a plus that Mark offered a stroller which we forgot at home. Every morning a hot breakfast was provided and it was delicious!'

The cottage was very cute and clean. The bed was uncomfortable because it dipped in the middle so you felt like you were on an angle the whole night. The host made the most amazing breakfast for us! That was honestly the best part of the stay! Would go back just to have that again!
An amazing piece of the world. We felt so at home and enjoyed the perfect peacefulness within the Redwoods. Mark and his girls are amazing hosts. Such a wonderful break from everyday craziness! We will be back!
Me and my husband booked this cabin for our 2 year Wedding Anniversary. Despite it being hot during the time in July, Mark made it a wonderful stay. Fresh baked pastries every morning and freshly roasted coffee beans? What can you ask for? Mark is such a nice man and his kids are super sweet! We will definitely book again!
Mark is the finest host we ever had the pleasure to meet and he spoiled us with his amazing baked goods. We really enjoyed our stay and the beauty of the surroundings!
lovely little two bedroom house,. Open living, kitchen area, what else do you need, great morning pastries This is our fourth trip, of course we will come again.
The cabin was cozy, the host was incredibly gracious and friendly, and the baked goods were out of this world delicious. The Friday night pizza party and accompanying band were wonderful!
We had a great time in the Paradise Grove cottage. Easy creek access where our dog had a great time. This particular cottage is down a side road from the bakery so is well away from the main road (not that the main road is not busy). As many have mentioned the treats from Mark were out of this world.
Retro vintage galore with all the comforts and upgrades!
the two-room home was filled with comfort, with an amazing patio in the redwood. I ended up staying in Paradise Grove house. The creek is across the front porch. the drive to the place is out of a book. My host sent warm baked goods two days of my stay. I was so appreciative of the so many gestures of kindness during this stay. Don't hesitate.
What we loved:
- Clean and tidy
- Everything we could ask for was already in there - coffee, towels, soap, small fridge, microwave, fireplace, heater - you name it
- Mark was very nice - super responsive and even brought us breakfast - much appreciated! (The bread was 10/10!)
- Redwoods!
- Lots of books!
- close to the coast for trail with sea views
Manage your expectations:
- The bakery was closed the 3 days we were there
- This is a small town - the nearest restaurants are 10 miles away in Guerneville
- The cabin is creekside but you cannot actually see it from your window can hear it if you have a keen ear
- The view from our cabin was the back of the bakery but redwoods if you look up ;)

We have stayed here before, chickens were penned up, this time we had ten chickens wondering around us, but then a goat came a wondering, so if you like critters, this is the place for you,. I'm to old to try and side step a goat.
This is the second time I stayed here. The cottages are really cute and the location is great, surrounded by Redwoods. My dog had a blast swimming in Austin Creek right across from our cabin. Friday night pizza night is a blast. Great pizza, town folks and a band. Mark is incredible, the nicest, kindest person. And the fresh pastries for breakfast are to die for!
We had a lovely time the host was very welcoming. We totally enjoyed our fresh pastries and coffee in the morning before we adventurers out for the day. Our host even prepared a yummy pizza for us to enjoy with our kids. We will be back next year
The cottage was quiet and delightful, shaded by redwoods, and with cool funky outdoors areas to hang out in. There were lovely fresh baked goods delivered by hand to the door every morning and Mark was super nice and kind. We had a lovely time--thank you so much!
Imagine driving through a private roadway, up a hill and along a creek. At the bottom of the hill is a warm cozy 2-bedroom cottage nestled against redwood trees. You escape from the chilly clammy weather outside and enter and a brightly lit living room. You find the well appointed and stocked kitchen and 2 comfy bedrooms. After unloading your vehicle, you sit on the recliner chair to view the redwood trees and creek through the over-sized picture windows sipping bourbon.
The following morning you find a sweet and savory pastry tray with freshly roasted and ground coffee waiting by your front door. This happens again the next morning and you meet the mythical host, baker, carpenter, handyman, locksmith, entrepreneur, survivor and all around great guy. You leave on your last day to head home... with much struggle and great difficulty. My friends, head for this Twilight Zone but be prepared to regret leaving it. Well, until the next time : )
It was a great spot for my wife, child and I. Next to a stream, the awesome baked goodies, and the cool history of this interesting forest bungalow. You'll have to ask the proprietor for the story ;P. We will becoming back. We particularly loved the quiet of the forest here.
Wonderful oasis in the redwoods and close to the ocean.
We loved staying at the Creekside Cottage. Mark and his family were welcoming and full of knowledge of the area. The cabin was comfortable and had all the basic things we needed for a weekend away. We can't say enough good things about the baked goods or the surrounding area. Thank you for a great stay!
You'll be longing for seconds of the pastries and bread seved at breakfast!
The creekside cabin is cozy and a great place to hole up for a weekend of Super Scrabble and a good book. Mark is kind and friendly, serves fabulous, fresh roasted coffee,
...and he's an awesome baker! 🙃
