Aspen Oasis with Hot Tub and Mtn View

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Enjoy an amazing view from your apartment or relax by the creek. We are conveniently located 5 miles south of Grand Mesa National Forest and 5 miles north of the charming town of Cedaredge close to Hwy 65. The property is private and quiet. We live above the apartments but are very quiet and easily accessible if you need anything.

The Grand Mesa is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world and is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts.

This 3-acre property offers lots of space for relaxation and recreation. Soak in the hot tub after a day of adventure on the Western Slope. Walk the trail that leads to the creek where you can sit and listen to the sound of the water, picnic with friends and family, or fish from the stream. Relax and enjoy the view from the patio area outside your apartment. You can sit around the gas fire pit, BBQ and play games such as corn home, horse shoes or badminton. Just ask us and we will bring the games to you. You will find hammocks to read a book or take a nap and benches to sit and meditate. In the summer and fall, you can pick fresh fruit off the trees on the property. The property is surrounded by rangeland, so it is very quiet and private.

We do not allow pets on the property because we have several furry friends of our own. They are very friendly and love to greet newcomers.

You will also encounter wildlife on the property. You can often see deer and wild turkeys outside your door. You may hear the cattle grazing. Watch for a wide variety of birds. Be aware and take precautions as we do live in bear country.

As you meander through the property, you can spot whimsical homes for gnomes and fairies. These are always a delight for young guests.

You will cross the creek via a cattle guard when you enter the property. A bright yellow, VW bus mailbox with reflectors makes it easy to find the property during the day or night.

Private entrance with keypad makes it easy to come and go.

Feel free to use the patio furniture and grill on your side of the patio. You will share the hot tub and courtyard seating with guests in the other apartment. There is plenty of parking for vehicles and toys. A private sidewalk leads to your apartment. You are welcome to use the picnic tables and charcoal grills by the stream. A shared dumpster is located next to the garage. Due to extreme wildfire danger, absolutely no wood burning is allowed. Smoking is only allowed on the patio outside your apartment.

We live on the top floor of the house, so we are available to help you. You can message me through the app or ring the doorbell at the front of the house.

We have a tour guide and equipment available for many activities such as kayaking, hiking, mushroom foraging, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Please inquire if there is an activity you would like help with. There is a fee for this service.

If you forget your swimwear, I have several men’s and women’s swimsuits and trunks you can borrow. If you need a toothbrush, additional paper products or anything else, please feel free to ask.

For littles, we have a pack-and-play, highchair, toys and books available upon request.
Please put garbage in dumpster by the garage. Do not wear shoes or boots in the unit. Leave furniture and appliances where you found them. No smoking, vaping or use of recreational drugs. Smoking is only allowed on the patio outside your unit. Please be courteous to others who are sensitive to smoke. Do not put food waste or oils and fats down the drain as we are a septic system. Park your vehicles on your side or along the driveway in pull outs. Be courteous of others’ spaces and shared spaces. Supervise children at all times. No pets allowed. Stay on the property. No glass, food or young children allowed in the hot tub. Close the lid on the hot tub when not in use. Do not leave trash, food, dishes or utensils out due to bears. Hunters, do not put carcasses in the dumpster. Store meat in your own coolers. Ask if you need different check-in or check-out times, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
