Riads in Central Delhi

"We were booked for a week but left after one night. This place is a dump and the neighborhood is a dump. The shower didn't work so they gave us a plastic bucket we were supposed to wash ourselves with. Also no hot water. The place is dirty and looks nothing like the pictures. Do not stay at this embarrassment of a hotel. "

"The Airport Shuttle was timely arranged and the staff were super friendly. They were on top of my flight schedules and made sure Everything went Smooth. It’s a good distance from the Airport. My Trip was very nice and the Hotel City Star helped it make alot easier. I recommend this Hotel."

"Outstanding historical hotel to stay in old Delhi. Attractive, comfortable room. Friendly staff and entertaining experience flying a kite on a rooftop and seeing the racing pigeons. Attentive and helpful staff used.a cart to bring our luggage through the narrow alley to the entrance. I highly recommend the stay for someone's first visit to Old Delhi."

"The breakfast was incredible with a vast amount of choice. The pool area is charming being a haven away from the craziness the Delhi Streets. Levels of service or exemplary and the staff cannot do enough to help you"

"Good buffet breakfast and restaurant for an evening meal. Attentive and proactively helpful staff throughout. Local traffic makes getting back to the hotel slow but that is Delhi and not a reflection on the hotel. The hotel had everything that we wanted and is in a good central position. We would certainly recommend it"

"NIGHTMARE. In every way. Dirty, LOUD, uncomfortable, unsafe area. Room was dirty, no hot water, uncomfortable dirty linen bed, pathetic pillows. No dark-out drapes as advertised. Ceiling had a pulsing LED light throughout the night and loud ceiling fan. Room door key fob was broken to put key in room wall slot to start electricity, they told me to use a breaker box with switches on hallway wall to turn room power on. VERY old and beat/up building with ZERO quiet. Staff and their friends constantly hanging out in halls talking LOUD all of the time with their phones on speaker watching videos. Doors slamming constantly. Thin walls so you can hear everyone talking and TVs on loud. VERY suspect area that adjoins “the slums”. Metal Detector to walk into Hotel….? Nearly got mugged by 2 locals “working together” right at Hotel. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND."

"Room was clean, shower had good pressure and it was relatively quiet considering the volume outside. Staff was helpful, easy check in and check out. Only downside, both me and my husband got horribly sick from the food after our first meal there (didn't eat anywhere else, it was our first meal after arriving in India)and have now spent the last 3 days with bad diarrhea and vomiting."
