In what was an unimaginable circumstance to find ourselves in during our visit, the compassion and support that Anne and the Stayduvet team, as well as the owner gave us was truly amazing and exemplified southern hospitality at its best. Accommodations were perfect.
Great location- great parking- very easy, convenient & clean. The staff was great & more than helpful from the start with any needs from recommendations to batteries for the fan remote. This is toward upper King, safe neighborhood! Thanks for having us!
The property was in an interesting location. Very walkable to local bars, cafes and restaurants. Loved the proximity to King Street. Off street parking was perfect. Home was cozy and had all the conveniences needed. A couple small issues but nothing worth writing about.
Primrose has the perfect Charleston home look! Walkable to shopping and food. Description was spot on, host was great and ready to answer any questions we might have. I would definitely recommend Primrose!!
The kitchen and bathroom were fantastic. The balcony was a nice spot to people watch and relax. The stairs were a little steep but we managed. There is a noisy bar nearby so be cautious if you are a light sleeper.
Cute little place in walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. There are a few bars close so you will hear them at night. Didn’t bother us much but can be busy loud street.
It's not the biggest place to be sure, but it's plenty big for two people. The location is great - just off King Street so you can use it as a base to explore downtown, but there are also interesting restaurants and shops all around within the immediately surrounding blocks. My only complaint is that the single parking spot in the driveway is terribly difficult to get in and out of when there is any kind of traffic. Other than that, it was perfect for us - we'd definitely stay there again.
This house was perfect for what we needed. Good location, hot showers, comfortable beds(although the pillows were a little firm for my liking but my wife liked them). We originally planned to make dinner a couple nights but plans changed and we didnt get a chance to utilize the kitchen as much as we had hoped. A quick look through everything it seemed like it had everything we would've needed. This is an older house so nothing should surprise you as long as you know that going in. The bathroom is a little tight but manageable. Parking is also tight but still manageable as long as you adhere to their warnings about car size. Downside, people can be inconsiderate and park on the opposite side of the street making it difficult to pull in. The quiet hours of the neighborhood are mostly followed but be warned there is a bar literally next door. Again, people can be inconsiderate. Overall a great place to spend a few days or a week.
The Pimrose House was just as advertised. It was very comfortable, clean, and updated. Both the hosts and stayduvet team were very responsive and helpful, which was very much appreciated. The location was also great, as you are a very short walk from King Street, so you don't have drive to hit all of the restaurants and shops that Charleston is famous for. Having off-street parking was also very much appreciated, as those streets are very narrow. We also enjoyed the neighborhood and took everyone else's advice and went to Holey City Bagels (a few blocks away). This place was fantastic and we had breakfast there every day (except Tuesday - they were closed). I recommend the veggie delight. A hidden gem that we found (especially if you like small, quaint and fish/fish sandwiches) is Virginia's on King Street. The ONLY drawback to this location is the noise from the bar directly behind the property. They seem to lack any awareness that they operate in a residential neighborhood. We were there Sunday through Thursday, and it was loud every night until the wee hours of the morning. If you are a light sleeper, you will definitely need ear plugs or a very loud noise machine. It's a shame, because everything else about this property and location is fantastic. The bar owners and staff could use a lesson in respectfulness and awareness, that's for sure.Enjoy your visit. We sure did (other than the bar next door).
House was nice and clean and located about an 8 minute walk from King Street.
There's a fun local bar next door but you can hear the beat of the music when trying to sleep. They have white noise machines to help :-).

Loud
There is a bar next door. Especially on Friday night drunk people were yelling until about 1 am outside the bedroom window. There is also a construction site that starts up everyday at 7:30 am with consistent loud banging. Think bass drum over and over again. It was clean but the paint is very distressed. It desperately needs to be repainted. Also there is a lot of light all night from the street lights that come in the bedroom window making you think it’s morning all night long. It needs better window coverings.

Too much noise, needed changes.
This property wasn't ready to be on the market. It looked like they had finished many renovations, but water clearly leaks out of the shower, the walls needed to be painted (the whole house), coffee filters were absent, and a white noise machine was needed as the property is next to a dive bar that is open until 2 a.m. 6 days/week and the property is less than 50 yards from a major construction project that started before 8 a.m. (7:22 a.m. one day) every day of the week we were there.
