「My four-night stay at Hotel Don Ernesto La Chimba was wonderful, highlighted by the friendly staff and the absolutely excellent breakfast spread. The location is incredibly peaceful, tucked away in the jungle yet conveniently just 30 minutes from the airport. While some reviewers highlight that the rooms aren't Ritz-Carlton quality, I think it is important to note that the prices certainly reflect that, and the hotel offers tremendous value for an authentic and relaxing stay.」

「Very clean with an eco-friendly vibe, perfect for a week-long stay. The view was great, and the pool was a nice bonus. The laundry room was exceptionally clean and easy to use once we downloaded the app. One thing to note: the driveway into the parking garage is very steep and can feel a bit treacherous (a delivery truck actually got stuck while we were there), but there is also street parking available. 「This was a beautiful unit a short drive from San Jose. The host offered us food and breakfast and messaged to check in if we were comfortable. We saw so many birds in the morning and evening. The pictures on the website don’t do justice to the amazing property. 」

「Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing 」
