“They need better entertainment at night time.. the hallways need to be cleaned.. the carpet in the hallways were filthy. They need to put down and laminate floors in the hallway, so they stay clean.. the breakfast was excellent.. The spa part was not the best. The hot tub was only half working. The steam room did not work for three days. The sauna was good… The staff was very helpful and kind.”

“We had a lovely stay at C4 Retreat! The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was great. The hotel felt fresh and clean with all the necessary amenities. It was super easy to check in despite there not being a 24/7 reception and there were nice little details like getting a decanter of fresh water in your room every day (even though the tap water is safe to drink).
There's not a lot going on in Xagħra where the hotel is located so we ended up renting a……

“Ein wunderbares Zimmer mit kleinem Kühlschrank und einem großen bequemen Bett. Wobei ich persönlich die Kissen zu hart fand.
Ein schönes Bad und einem kleinen Balkon.
Die Steckdosen mit USB Anschluss fand ich auch super.
Das Frühstück, auch sehr gut, kann sowohl innen oder im Freien zu sich genommen werden.
Super zentrale Lage um mit dem Bus über die ganze Insel zu kommen.
Ich persönlich war zum Wandern da und bin jetzt noch absolut begeistert 😍”

Lovely shower. My only complaint was that the mattresses weren’t great. All four of us never really had a great night’s sleep.
Loved the Sky pool.

“We had a lovely stay and would recommend this property. The only issue we had was that our pre-arranged hotel transfer was not actually arranged. The hotel did not confirm that booking, so we ended up using the taxi stand, which was fine. You are a bit outside of the main areas in Malta, but it was a lovely hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We enjoyed the restaurants around the hotel too. Great views at breakfast! Nice, quiet rooms with comfortable beds! We loved the partial sea view.”

“The staff kindly changed our room to one with a better view - overlooking the pool and scenery beyond. The location of the hotel is great - near bus stop and harbour waterfront with lots of restaurant options. The food at the Reef was very good. Staff was most helpful. Really enjoyed our 3 night stay!”

Nach fünf Nächten im Xemxija Bay Hotel fällt mein Fazit leider eher enttäuschend aus. Bereits vor der Anreise fiel mir auf, dass die auf Google gezeigten Bilder einen deutlich besseren Eindruck vermitteln als die tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten vor Ort. Die Diskrepanz zwischen Werbeauftritt und Realität ist bemerkenswert.
Das Zimmer selbst war großzügig geschnitten und mit zwei Einzelbetten ausgestattet.……
