“Definitely recommend this B&B, from the warm and friendly welcome, to the beautifully clean accommodation, and lovely fresh breakfast. To the great location for exploring the castle and surrounding area. ”

“Staff uniforms were filthy and the floors were covered in food. Owner didn't greet with a smile nor was very friendly. There were broken ornaments on display. Shower door was broken and didn't close properly and the shower itself was a dribble of water. Im glad it was onky for one night!”

“Arrived at the hotel after a 4 hour journey, pub was closed. Called the number, member of staff said they’d come down and let us in but then called back 2 minutes later to say no room available. There was also no parking available despite the website saying it has parking available. Still haven’t heard anything about cancellation or refund. Do not recommend!”

However, check in was rather odd - the hotel was closed (at 5pm) so we rang the number on the door. We were greeted with….’We’re not open to the public but I’ll check you in’ - not quite a welcoming experience! We were shown to the room and then there was a comment of ‘there’s sometimes a problem with the hot water up here…but you should be ok’ - what a bizarre thing to say to new guests! The……

“Great location centre of the town by a car park where you can see your car parked. Very quiet comfortable. Needs more hangers. Local railway we seen the Flying Scotchman. Nice local beaches. Bars and restaurants walking distance. Excellent facilities.”
