Beautiful room with a balcony, perfect location, excellent sound-proofing of the windiws so you can be in the hopping part of town but not hear when you don't want to, great breakfast.

We were driving from Bretagne to Northern Italy and we needed a midway rest; Clermont-Ferrand was an option, the hotel is a good solution, nice position on a main square, parking very close and a very good bistro in the front. Nice people.

Great location

Despite the massive roadworks in the area we were able to stop near the hotel to check in and the underground car park they suggested was really close. The hotel is in a pedestrian area but very close to a road you can drive down. Not sure it will still possible to drop off once all the roadworks are done. Otherwise old building given a modern makeover, quite fun. Nothing special but fine overall.

Nice comfortable hotel in the centre of one of the squares of Clermant Ferrand. On site bistro provides good food with excellent waiter service

Very central property, on one of the main squares in town. The hotel also have a cafe, but our room was on the 4th floor and very quiet. Room was comfortable, refurbished recently, clean and spacious. Staff were very courteous. Plenty of choices for food around.

We had a wonderful stay. Had two unique rooms. Clean and comfortable and at a great price. Rooms were quiet. Great location, walking distance to shops and cafe. Town train is in front of hotel/cafe but operates quietly and conveniently. Would stay there again.

There is little I can add to the fact that over 400 reviews give this hotel an average rating of 9.0. It is * ideally situated on the city's main square * bus line, tram line and parking garage on the doorstep * Reception staff courteous and very helpful * Faultless room - quality bedding, HansGrohe bathroom, laptop-siez safe, coffee maker and kettle * good value restaurant is popular with locals non-stop * good buffet breakfast

Nice Hotel - Nice Location

The hotel was nice, however a fridge in the room would have been nice 😊 Also the directions given for the parking were terrible, the addres/name given to enter into GPS only took you to the exit of the parking garage.

Very nice property, the service is Ok. The room size was good, comfortable bed, the best is the window and view of square. The bathroom is clean and modern. Overall, then property is simple, nice and pleasant, almost like a loft style. The restaurant is right downstair, facing the beautiful square. We had a short and pleasant stay. Will stay again if ever visiting this city again.

Disappointing

The air conditioning was not working in room so it was 27 degrees, gave us fan made little difference . Check in wad with a waiter so no information about stay . Booked 3 nights left after one night

The room was nice and I loved the balcony and having the restaurant downstairs but Expedia said that this property has parking and that is the only thing I really needed. There is no parking and no way to pull up with baggage. I had to park 5 minute walk away and drag my luggage because the parking garage close by and all the parking spots were full. There is an elevator but only in-between floors not on the floors themselves so you always have to walk up stairs with your luggage. The cleanliness wasn't super but good enough. There was still hair from the previous occupant on the floor and the tile had some sort of growth in the shower. But I guess for France it is ok.

This hotel is NOT reachable by car--the closest parking, which you only find out at the front desk while your car is illegally parked a 5-minute walk away, is across the street and in an underground garage about 200 yards away. Not terrible if you are youthful and travel light, but not convenient if you are older and have baggage. (Also, my GPS told me to turn left and drive up the sidewalk lined with pedestrians and cafes. Not advisable.) Also, those sidewalk cafes below your window that line the street below are attractive in the afternoon, but noisy and smoky all night long. The air conditioning did not work and opening the window for ventilation was out due to the noise and crowds below. The room was nice and shower was great. Prepare to pay for breakfast. All in all, I would not recommend.
