Lovely house but listing was inaccurate.
Firstly, this is a lovely house and has almost everything you could want. We were extra appreciative that it is pet friendly property as we had our two small dogs with us.
What we did not like was the listing says parking. Parking is on street parking, or if you are game, a rear access via a lane, up a steep, rutted, grassy clearing. We tried it once but was too hard.
Parking on the street required descending down on coarse stone steps (about 12 or so) equivalent to 1 and a half storeys down from the road. Emptying things out of your car for the stay required about 3 or 4 back and forths, not a great way to start your trip. The more important thing is that going out at night, there was very very poor lighting to see each step clearly and felt we could trip or stumble at any moment.
As said before, the house is lovely and there is little else you could want for.
The included toiletries were exceptional.
Little issues we encountered were that the remote control to use the TV in the bedroom upstairs had NO batteries in it? You had to take them out of the remote downstairs to use upstairs.
We used the Lavazza Coffee machine, but found it had not been cleaned or emptied out ..it was overflowing with used capsules.
Lastly, when using the air conditioners, we know it is hard to keep them clean when high humidity weather is prevalent but they smelled badly of mould and mildew when turned on.
We assume our feedback to the Managing Agent will result in cleaners checking the smaller details and maybe get the two air conditioners treated twice a year to eliminate mouldy smell when used.
