"Great location and friendly staff"

"Well located, no frills but everything worked. Clean with pleasant staff."

"I have travelled the World extensively, and this property is possibly my favourite of any I have stayed in. It maintains old world colonial character and charm, with its very high standards, excellent staff, and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We stayed 8 years ago and have been planning g a return since. We are however devastated to hear that the hotel will close at the end of its current lease in August 2027, so this was likely to be our last ever visit."

"Best"

"The service was excellent and the property has beautiful historical and colonial charm to it. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Great hotel and location"

"I stayed one night at the hotel the room was very clean and nice. The hotel staff was excellent and friendly."

"Convenient business hotel with friendly, helpful staff. "

"It’s ok… stayed here for a few hours before heading to the airport. It served a purpose. It’s clean but minimalist, I wouldn’t stay here on holiday, it’s fine for a place to rest your head but cold and not as welcoming as some of the other hotels in Colombo"

"Had a really great time here. Breakfast was also delicious, they have a lot of options and would recommend getting breakfast included stay. Also loved the rooftop pool and the spa treatments."

"Good rooms, clean sheets, helpful staff, all good. Check in and out was a breeze"

"My family and I had a great time staying at Taj. Staff were friendly and buffet was good as well."

"Beautiful property with wonderful food and central location."

"Friendly staff, clean and safe"

"Nice place to stay"

"Got upgraded to a suit, that was super nice , very India and vegetarian friendly breakfast buffet - has Jain food as well - dosa, sambar, dhokla, poha etc . The bathtub inside the room with a view was great. Loved the blue tooth speaker in the room as well to enjoy some music. Room was largely clean, guest services are a hit or a miss , sometimes on time sometimes delayed. Laundry takes a day, If given in the night they give it back next day same time. Reception also helps with dollar exchange...
