Great location to all the fun

Location was great. It’s close to all the hot spots. We were right in the middle of every tourist activity we wanted. I enjoyed the huge deck and that there was a grill provided. The roads were a little tricky but the owner explained that in description. The owner was quick to reply to my questions.

Unique mid-century house nestled in the hills

What a find! This house was so great. Mid-century style with an expansive view through floor to ceiling windows overlooking the hills. We had a spring snow storm while we were here which made it all the more cozy. The host was extremely responsive and proactive with communication and check in and check out was seamless. We have rented many houses around the world and this one stood out for being so unique. Would definitely return!

Mountain Serenity.

Absolutely loved the house and the views. My husband was shocked with the constant noise from the highway but the views help you ignore that.

Pleasant stat

My only complaint would be water pressure being poor, but I understand it is mostly due to altitude of the location. House was large enough for 2 or maybe even 3 families, though it was just 4 of us. Fire place was great, balcony was amazing with a good view. The drive to the house was initially scary coming from plain, flat Kansas roads but after a few trips we got used to it. Location is 10 to 20 minutes from most types of restaurants and stores as well as pikes peak and other various destinations.

Great weekend getaway

Property was lovely and the views were beautiful. Perfectly tucked away. There is shotty service in the area so have your maps plugged in early!

Great location close to all the sights in the area

Our first time to Colorado. Check-in was seamless. House was very clean. Wonderful views. We were 15 minutes from entrance to Pikes Peak. Less than 30 minutes from Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and Colorado Springs. 10 minutes from grocery store. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Heavenly Mountain View

The house is perfect for the most beautiful Mountain View. We really enjoyed getting up every morning, having coffee & breakfast while looking at the most beautiful scenery. We were 4 adults (grandparents & parents) with one 6 month old, so having the downstairs area/den with the baby was so convenient. Overall the house is very cozy and the location was great for our agenda. I would definitely recommend for families!

Awesome stay

We had a wonderful stay at your place. The coffee pot should be replaced for next guest so they don’t have to struggle with it. I sent a email with pictures of the master sink with towel under it because it was leaking water . Also sent pictures of squirrels that are using stuffing from back porch cushions to makes their nests with. Other than those items it is a very nice place to visit.

We left an expensive suit behind and contacted the manager within an hour of leaving the property. We were going to be back in the area a few days later and could have picked up the suit. But after countless communications, the manager told us they could not find the suit.

Colorado Time

Was very comfortable. A few ishes that the maintenance said he would come back and fix but never showed. The light didnt work in the kitchen so we had to bring a lamp from downstairs to see at night and the plug for the TV didnt work. Other then that everything was very good. The views are wonderful and all the beds very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Views

Overall, the place was great. We loved the views and the fireplace was used every day. The house offered plenty of space and was very comfortable. My suggestions would be first (and I say this at every house I stay in)...more storage...more shelves, hooks, cabinets, drawers. And second, it was pretty chilly during the first part of the week that we were there and the house could get cold and drafty. The fireplace was a huge help, but maybe consider some thick curtains and electric blankets to help offset the chills. Thanks very much!

Cool, Mountainside Escape

Property is as described in the listing, a wonderful mountainside mid-modern property designed by acclaimed architect, Walter White…not thee Walter White!! Location is awesome, about 15 minutes from central Colorado Springs, 10 minutes from Manitou and Old Colorado City both to the south and Woodland Park to the north. This property allows you to be a as active as you like as it’s close to hiking and fishing and then you can be in good restaurants and other retail in 10 minutes. We primarily used the first floor master and really enjoyed the view and the serenity of quiet mornings and starry nights. Everything in the space is fairly new and I’m working order the full width sliding doors were amazing in late summer. Road to the property is a bit intimidating on the first drive up to down but we got used to it quickly…it is a bit steep and at points one lane. We did the drive in a Tesla Y so no need for an SUV but may be a challenge in a vehicle lower to the ground. We would stay in the property again and again and would highly recommend it especially during the no -snow months. HOSTE check in process is a bit much for security reasons but worked fine ultimately.

Quick brother getaway

If you're looking to relax a bit in the mountains and get away from the city this house is perfect. 4 bedrooms could of fit both our families but it was just us. The setting is perfect. A big balcony and a big patio under. Kitchen was open with living room with a nice wood burning fireplace. Heating worked very well in the house. Hot water could of been a bit warmer but I think we might of been doing 2 showers at once and that could of been my problem. The host was very responsive with all my questions. And there is a Walmart pretty close. Only thing I wished they had firewood I had to buy some but if I knew I'd brought an ax plenty of wood around. Overall the house is perfect for a Pikes peak getaway! And no actual complaints from us we had to leave early because of a family emergency and the host was very responsive and caring. Thank you all for the stay. We will be back

Back Home

This property was designed and built by my parents in 1971 and I lived in it for several years as a child. It was fun to go back and see it and I love how they kept some of it's authenticity. I loved it and you will too!
