Time Away From Home

This was a perfect little getaway. For me and my friends to relax and just hang out in a mutual spot. Everything in the home was very nice and clean. Definitely would recommend!

An Amazing and literally hospitable stay

Thanks so much to the Housepitality team for their beautiful property and allowing my friends, family and I to stay the night in Columbus. It was wonderful and your property is gorgeous. Hopefully I’ll be back in Columbus soon and I’ll choose to stay at this location again. The host was so communicative and straight forward and the house was so clean. Thanks again!

Merion Village

Rented this place because attending an event in German Village. Guests met from different areas. It was very clean except debris in couch cushions. Kitchen was well furnished with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, soap and paper towels. Plenty of bath supplies. Neighborhood a little sketchy- wouldn't want to walk around at night.

We planned a trip for our Womens group to have a retreat but when we got to the house, there were 4 homeless men camping in the back where we were told to park. Along the side of the house was a mattress and items that another homeless person was living and appeared to have been there for some time. Then when we got inside, the house did not look shiny and new like the photos they advertised. It was apparent the company used A.I. to doctor the photos. Let me be clear these were not just old photos but completely fabricated. One of the downstairs bedrooms didn’t open and there were bed bugs in one of the upstairs bedrooms. I am assuming they were in all of them but one room was enough for us.We messaged the Housepitality Team and told them we weren’t going to stay there another minute. After hours of no contact except for an automated response from the host we had to reach out to VRBO directly. It wasn’t until days later that we disputed the charge as well as made contact with VRBO customer service that we received a generic message stating that they would be issuing a refund. This was beyond frustrating, not to mention stressful to find housing for 12 women in a city that was booked out. We had to add travel plans on top of doubling our budget. If you are looking for great personal customer service along with true to life photos book elsewhere you won’t find it with Housepitality.

Great Host, Dirty House

The host was great—responsive, flexible, friendly. The bones of the house are good, although the common area furniture was stained and old and the kitchen could use a few more items (frying pan, bigger coffee maker, etc). The area was not very safe, definitely would not walk outside alone at night. The main problem was the cleanliness. Our feet were black within a few hours. My husband ended up cleaning the floors himself. We are not sticklers for cleanliness either—we have young kids and a big dog. But there was visible dirty on the window sills, cobwebs, dirty floors, some dishes not fully washed…we dealt with it, and overall had a good stay. But I hope the host hires someone new for the flips.
