Es ist herrlich ruhig im Orson. Der Strand war aufgrund der Gezeiten (Ebbe/Flut) bis ca. 13 Uhr nutzbar und wirklich schön. Das Personal ist freundlich. Der Pool ist schön groß und sofern ich das beurteilen kann auch sauber. Es war auch immer mal wieder eine Badeaufsicht da. Was den Wohlfühlfaktor auf ein nächstes Level bringen würde, wäre wenn man diese ekligen kleinen Abflussfliegen im Bad bekämpfen würde. Evtl. verschwindet dann auch dieser unangenehme Geruch der immer mal wieder im Bad aufkommt. Wenn nicht sollte man den Siphon prüfen.

The hotel is tucked away in a more secluded part of the island, but everything is easy to reach by a short car ride and the hotel has lots of options to help you get around. They helped us go on an excursion to see the sea turtles, go into town to see the infamous Poulo Condor prison, and see the local monkeys! The weather was unpredictable when we came, but we luckily had everything that we needed even on rainy days with lots of games and delicious food at the restaurant. We even had our own private beach access! But I have to say that the best part of the hotel is really the vibe there. Everyone is really so sweet and tries their hardest to make your trip work for you. We felt like family during our four-day stay there. Thanks again Orson!!!

Air conditioning stuck on 25degrees and full fan when we arrived . As we had had a very early start to travel we opened the doors to outside and with sea breeze was fine to have an hours sleep after unpacking . We reported the issue to reception . An hour later , after 4 people had been in and 3 video calls we had no air conditioning . As it was now 6pm we headed out for food and left them to it . Returned at 11pm to no air conditioning . After another farce and only after insisting I wanted a new room for the night so could sleep was I offered one . Wednesday evening it sounded like room next to mine was partying until 1am , so could not sleep . Tuesday only 2 people around pool but all loungers had used towels on . Wednesday no clean towels for pool . Very long wait for food in restaurant even though nearly empty and food arrived barely warm . Checked out Thursday morning and moved to a different hotel . Never in nearly 30 years of travel have I felt the need to move hotel . Could be good hotel if managed better . Young lady on reception was superb , a big thank you to her for her help and understanding .

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, der Service unaufmerksam und langsam, das Personal an der Bar und und im Restaurant nur vietnamesisch spricht. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber, das Hotel schön gelegen und mit privatem Strand. Um das Hotel herum gibt es leider nicht viel, man muss mit dem Taxi oder Moped bis in die Stadt fahren, was aber kein Problem ist, da es kaum Verkehr auf der Insel gibt. Die Insel ist wunderschön und sauber mit tollen Stränden. Tourismus ist bis jetzt kaum vorhanden.

It was amazing place quite right by the ocean. The staff were very kind and helpful. if you need to re-energize it is a wonderful place. Breakfast buffet for all taste. The room spacious and very clean with good sound proof.

Amazing location/below average hotel

Location is outstanding, very quiet, mountains and ocean views are spectacular, Sandy beach at low tide,beautiful snorkeling spot,hiking trails nearby.environment is top class. Regarding the hotel itself and the service provided, one of the lowest quality service/stay we ever experienced in Asia. Major hazards/faults in the room, food was bad.staff from management to receptionist aren’t hospitality trained. Made our con dao experience very awkward. Do not recommend this venue

I searched forever to find the right accommodations for our stay in Con Dao. I heavily recommend Orson. The staff - particularly John, were incredible helpful and kind. I read negative reviews about the water pooling in the bathroom (happened - not a big deal) and the fact that it is a distance from the town but that’s what makes it so lovely! Super quiet and gorgeous and it is only around a $10 CAD taxi to town and the drivers are all super kind and we were actually undercharged each time compared to the meter reading. There is a private beach that does have some garbage in it but that is a bigger issue for the whole island and the private beach wasn’t that bad comparatively. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, lots of tasty options! I also booked a snorkelling tour through the hotel (Con Dao trip) and it was fantastic - sweetheart guides. We had a night next to a screaming baby (happens) and they upgraded us to a better room which we are super thankful for. I cannot recommend this place enough, amazing value for your money, feels luxurious and always felt very taken care of.
