  • Situated in the center of Corning’s Gaffer district. Historically renovated three story building with Original maple floors, solid wood doors with beautiful cherry cabinetry and enhanced with quartz countertops. Sonos speakers in Great room, bedroom and marble shower. Mounted Samsung TV’s and stainless steel appliances.
    The space
    This is a historically renovated building thru the Department of Interior.
    Built in 1905 building was completely renovated in 2016. Row building on Corning’s Gaffer District situated on Market Street. Apartment is on third floor and two flights of stairs need to be taken. Parking in rear of building is free overnight in City lot #5 but is metered during weekday business hours. Free prior to 9am and after 4pm. Close to shops, restaurants and bars. Walking distance to Corning Glass Museum.

    Complete one bedroom one bath apartment on the third floor.
    Other things to note
    This solid stone building has front and back staircases. Front staircase accesses Market Street. Rear staircase leaves to City lot #6. Parking metered during business hours but free evenings and weekends.

The host double booked my room which I paid for over a month in advance. The day of check in, he was not responsive until after the check in time. I was let in by the people who were also booked (who were extremely nice and helpful). The host took no accountability and blamed everything on VRBO. I also found out that he double booked two other groups, which he said were now staying at his families home down the road. I was here for the marathon and ended up with a triathlon of obstacles to find a place to stay for the weekend while my refund came back into my account (5-7 business days). All the hotels were booked because of race weekend, so we had to sleep in our rental car in a parking garage.
