The host double booked my room which I paid for over a month in advance. The day of check in, he was not responsive until after the check in time. I was let in by the people who were also booked (who were extremely nice and helpful). The host took no accountability and blamed everything on VRBO. I also found out that he double booked two other groups, which he said were now staying at his families home down the road. I was here for the marathon and ended up with a triathlon of obstacles to find a place to stay for the weekend while my refund came back into my account (5-7 business days). All the hotels were booked because of race weekend, so we had to sleep in our rental car in a parking garage.
