“This was good value for money. There were a couple of things that need attention. The pipework made a loud noise when the water was turned on and the garden gate was broken so our dog escaped. The communication was very good with the host and it was very clean and tidy”

“Mabel's Cottage is fabulous. The views of Roughtor over the lake are stunning. The cottage has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. We wish we could have stayed longer to really appreciate it. Hosts, John and Wendy were very helpful and made us feel really welcome. The christmas decorations and the cream tea were lovely touches.Thank you.”

“What an awesome place! It was much larger than we thought split over 3 levels. Middle one has the front room and kitchen, downstairs twin room plus sun room and bathroom. Top floor twin room and king bed plus shower/bath and separate toilet. Beds were extremely comfy too. So close to all the amenities.”

“What a lovely place. Comfortable beds and both bedrooms havw en-suite, 2hich was a bonus. Kitchen was really well kitted out and it was lovely to find dog bowls, matt and towel ready to use on arrival. Very dog friendly with enclosed garden. We made full use of the free view TV and wood burner in the evenings. Lovely location on a farm. Host was really friendly and accommodating. ”
