Comfortable House and pool

We enjoyed this comfy and clean home. The home layout is wonderful. The pool was clean and delightful. The location was only about 4 houses down from the path to the beach (2 blocks walk). We would rent this again. We had two minor issues. The highchair listed in the amenities was missing. I called and was told that maintenance would find it or bring one, but they never did. The exterior of the house and outdoor shower needs to be cleaned. the exterior windowsills are grimy. It was not a problem, but the wood deck and stairs are very weathered, as happens near the ocean.

Beautiful vacation home.

Great Home! The house has everything you need fully stocked kitchen. Comfortable and nicely decorated bedrooms. Great location easy access to beach and shopping centers. We would definitely recommend this home.

Beach vacation

Nice place for large family group. Cozy and clean. Very convenient was the outdoor bathroom. I wish, back yard could have volleyball net and larger TV in the family room. Overall, great place, highly recommend.

Spacious home with great location but very dirty

Home had so many cobwebs everywhere and piles of dead bugs. Cockroaches in the upstairs bedroom/bathroom. The home was plenty big for our group and location was perfect though. Deep cleaning was definitely needed though

Nice house

House is nicely equipped and well maintained. Pool and hot tub were nice to have, as was the second fridge downstairs and the two dishwashers. We had a few maintenance issues and I was blown away by the quick responses from the Shoreline OBX maintenance team. Both issues were fixed in less than an hour from when I reported them! Beds were comfortable and that is a big deal for me. Loved that most were king rooms with en suite baths. The only small downside to this house is distance from the beach, but we knew that when we rented. Not an issue for most of us, but the grandparents in the party had to be driven to the nearby public parking so it wasn't really walking distance for them. I would rent this house again, but maybe not with older family members (house does have 3 flights of stairs as well).

Spacious and nice home

Spacious home - All rooms and common areas were large enough for our multi-family week long vacation. Nice pool, basement and all smart TVs (App ready for streaming). Well-equipped kitchen with 2 dishwashers. Kitchen could probably be stored with some spices, salt/pepper, sugar etc. There was nothing, so plan to bring your own or go buy on the first day. We left behind many of our leftovers, so hopefully the next families could use them.

Great place but ridiculous cleaning policy

Overall a great place. The checkout process was easy enough but the requirements for checkout are a little ridiculous since they charge a high cleaning fee. This is what they requested: Remove all Trash from home & outdoor areas - kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, game rooms, under furniture, behind furniture, outside decks, pool, hot tub area, etc... Empty refrigerator-freezers - clean up spills Turn off all small appliances - coffee makers, toasters, blenders, etc... Clean barbecue grill grates - empty grease tray and/or used charcoal Sweep - sand, pet hair, cheerios, etc... If excess pet hair, we ask that you vacuum furniture, wash bedding, etc. Clean all dishes - return to cabinets Return furniture to the original location, if moved Why the heck are you charging a high cleaning fee if you expect us to clean the house top to bottom. A little ridiculous and I am sure many people would agree. Meanwhile when we got there we had to sweep up the kitchen floor corners cause it was disgusting. Really just an epic fail when it comes to customer service.

This House needs some TLC

We were disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of this house. Been renting homes in OBX since late 90's. This one was the worst of them. Filthy white handrails up/down the interior steps, We cleaned them ourselves. AC return air vent covered in a layer of dust, exterior man door on top floor - seal missing allowing bugs to enter, midges all over the ceiling every morning. Called maintenance, never fixed. Towel holder in upper master pulled loose form wall. Door hanger on back of master BR door partially installed and upside down. Grass in back yard is very tall, not mowed in a while. Exterior door to outside screened dining room sticks open, more bugs and spiders all over! I got stung by a wasp when opening grill, flew out from underneath the shelf. Wouldn't recommend this one.

Family Getaway

Great accommodations for extended family with young children. Nice pool. Spacious. Well-equipped kitchen, 2 dishwashers!! Multiple porches. Nice yard with oversized sandbox. Issue with internet was solved 5 minutes after call. Short walk to beach.

Wonderful stay!

Loved that the house was so spacious and big! During the rain, the kids had lots of places to be so that we were not on top of each other. The pool and hot tub was great too.

Corolla with family

We had a fantastic trip to Corolla! The house was great and as described. The furnishings were tasteful and appear to have been recently updated (paint/flooring). The two dishwashers came in very handy for two families and there were ample kitchen supplies and equipment. My only gripe was with the rental company. The pillows/comforter in multiple rooms were dirty and the house was not ready by the time we were supposed to check in. I called and they did offer to send someone out, but after a 7 hour drive and then needing to sit in the car with kids (since not done on time) I declined. I also sent an email as requested, but never received any acknowledgment. Thankfully, there were ample additional pillows/linens since we did not need all the beds or bedrooms. My final tip would be to be absolutely sure that you bring plenty of toilet paper and a sponge. They removed every shred of toilet paper from all 6 bathrooms and in their welcome bag provided 1 roll and a cut in half sponge. The other OBX companies I have rented from also tell you to bring extra toilet paper, but at least leave some and don't actually remove all of it from the house. LOL
