Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Island Girl. The house is large and boasts ample space for a large family or multiple families. It is a short two block walk to the beach.
The house needs some serious updating. The appliances in the kitchen are very old. I loved that there were 2 dishwashers but one was falling apart. The cookware is old and gross and needs replaced. Some of the furniture has seen better days and is filthy and needs replaced. Even the deck furniture, by the pool, is dirty and moldy. The pool's liner is creased and catches dirt and leaves and is pulling away from the side of the pool in at least one place.
The management company, Brindley Beach, is terrible! We arrived at the house and it had not been cleaned well at all. The kitchen counters were dirty - had to scrub them - and one of the showers had a dirty washcloth and hair in the drain. On top of that, the towels they left were disgusting and old and one even had old blood stains on it!! I called to complain about the state of the house. I got a call back 7 hours later and was promised clean linens and towels that never came. I had to call AGAIN the next day before I actually got what was promised. The basement is infested with small catepillar/worm like bugs. I called to report it and they told me they would send someone to spray. It never happened.
If the house is updated, it will be amazing. I think the management company is the main issue with the property, they are terrible.
