Nice property on the sound

Nice neighborhood, Niceish house. The house was dirty- cob webs and dead bugs everywhere. Blood stains on sheets in master suite. I understand that renovations are being done- but the amount of loose nails laying around was hazardous. Blue painters tape left on the deck and around the second floor. The kitchen was cute- but the food splatter on the cabinets is inexcusable. The food spills ( greasy) on the table in the screened porch ( which is not screened). It says to call the day of check in with complaints. We got in late- so I did not call- and just cleaned it. Never felt comfortable due to the dirt and the furniture is the most uncomfortable around- including the beds and the living room had a coffee table that looked like it was picked up at a yard sale. Dents/ dust/ dirt! The bottom floor has a bedroom with a full bed and two twins- bunk bed. The smell was so bad no one would use it. The main floor couch smelled of urine. I could keep going- but I think you get the picture. I don’t know if we were first of the season, and or if the cleaning crew was there but, it was just not OK for the amount of money we pay. We left it better than we found it- and it still needs work to warrant charging the rates they are asking for. I get some smell of must- being on the water, and the bugs- they were mostly dead, mostly. The pool was ridden with nails- a walking hazard with bare feet or even flip flops. The pools toys- should be thrown and replaced.
