Mulligan house

Great house in a great neighborhood!! Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great beach stay in a very well maintained, private community.

Great location but SO MANY maintenance issues

This house would be a gem if it weren’t for the numerous maintenance issues. We literally called the property manager every day of our ten-day stay for a different problem with the house (leaking dishwasher, broken microwave, broken pool heater, broken garbage disposal, clogged kitchen sink, clogged toilet, broken garage door, leaking hot tub). Sometimes the property manager responded quickly; other times it took several calls. In my opinion the house needs some major TLC before being rented again. That being said, it’s a great location within the Currituck Club and we still managed to have a lovely family getaway in the Outer Banks, but the constant issues were a major distraction.

Great Home inside but dangerous outside

Beautiful home inside with plenty of amenities. We did have issues with the wifi and couldn’t figure out how to use the tv but we’re able to fix it. Unfortunately, even after I told the rental office we had fixed the wifi, we still had the internet company come to the house. The outside of the house is under renovation - it’s being painted, boards getting replaced, nails and screws EVERYWHERE! I was extremely worried that someone was going to get a nail in their foot or in our tires. We picked up hundreds of nails/screws in the front yard, driveway, backyard and even on the decks. The top deck has a carpenter bee village living there so it was not an option for us to use. When we arrived, the garage was partially open and the trash cans were full of paint cans and supplies. The door that has the keyless entry was a security nightmare. The doorframe had been chiseled out so much that the slightest push would’ve disabled the lock. Again, the outside was less than desirable. Broken chairs, exposed landscaping connections, and electric wires exposed on the house made this Mom feel on edge whenever we were outside. I want to stress that the INSIDE of the home was lovely. We enjoyed our time - inside.

It was OK

We got to the property after hours, didn't know we didn't need to stop at the management company first. Once we arrived, we noticed that the screened in porch had many broken screen, so we didn't sit in it all week. Coffee machine filter still had a dirty filter in it. The basement, had bugs on both of the futons and the backyard was filled with old dog poop. Pool was fine, until we noticed a large bug of some kind a dead frog in the filter. I did call management and advised them of everything except the pool, they did send 2 ladies out to clean, but nothing could be done with the porch. Neighborhood is wonderful and the shuttle to the beach was great. If this place was cleaner and the home maintained more (powerwash, frest paint, no poop, nice porch) it would have been more pleasant.
