This horrible experience started with the total lack of communication from Vacasa when we were trying to confirm whether the home was not affected by Beryl, and the roads were clear. Some of our family were driving 10 hours, so we wanted confirmation before we drove down. I received nothing back from Vacasa before we left to drive down, and when I did, it sounded like an AI response telling me all about Beryl and where it made landfall and if my vacation home was in that area I should check on it. That’s what I was trying to do!! It took more than 24 hours for communication, and some questions weren’t responded to until we’d been checked out for two days! Outside the paint is peeling. Inside there’s a huge dent in the wall and nasty looking stain from leaks. The top floor AC doesn’t work. It was set on 74 and wouldn’t get above 64! We let them know about this on the first day, and no one came to fix it in the 4 days we were there, didn’t even have a response. There is no grill, and no grill in the community you can use. I’ve been coming to Port A for over 50 years, and this was the worst rental, the worst communication, the most neglected as far as maintenance etc, and the most expensive I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely not worth the money, even though it had pretty views. This unit is very close to the rental next door who had barking dogs when we were trying to enjoy our deck. There is NO way to get a hold of anyone at Vacasa who is local, they are all in another state.
