Very nice beach house

We enjoyed the property very much. The location is fabulous and the kitchen/family area was also very nice. My only recommendation would be to repair the rusty items on the outside of the house. The pictures of the 2 BBQ grills for the property listing don't match what is available. We couldn't get the grill to work as it was rusted up and was incredibly small for the 6 person group that stayed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Village Walk!!! We have stayed in several units over the years. We truly wish to thank Harry and his staff from Port A Escapes for their hospitality! Our unit was short on pots and pans and silverware. Harry took care of all our needs! We couldn’t ask for a better management company. The lower level casita was very humid...and within hours Port A Escapes delivered a dehumidifier. Just excellent attention to our needs.

Great home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Port A Escapes came to our rescue after our VRBO reservation on a home did not get put on the "host's" calendar. We were frantic with 12 of us needing a weekend house to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday! I think this house turned out to be much better than the one we booked with VRBO. The deck on top was great, and the pools in the subdivision were perfect for the grandkids! We are planning to book it again for next year!

Several issues with this Port A rental

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from a long weekend in Port A. There were 4 couples and one single friend who stayed at Coral Reefer. Our first impression of the house was positive- nice decor and location. We discovered that the online photos were a bit deceptive. There is no “separate living area” downstairs. It is a very ne room efficiency space with 2 bed, a futon and small kitchenette. Photos make it look to be two separate rooms, which we were counting on for our group. None of the bathroom outlets worked, so hairdryers, curling irons and chargers would not operate. Bunk bed was very unstable - no adult can sleep in the upper bunk. We were given one towel per adult for a three- day stay. Glad we brought our own trash bags, dishwasher soap and napkins, as there were not be supplied. There were no basic condiments in the kitchen- not even salt and pepper. We were very disappointed in the property and will not recommend it to our friends.

Finally stayed at Village Walk

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the seventh year we have rented from Port A Escapes and the first rental we have had at Village Walk. This gated community has pretty landscaping and nice sidewalks, all within an easily accessed development. It is not far from the beach, but has no access directly to it, so you must get back on the road or if you don’t mind the walk, sidewalk, to go to the beach, about a mile. Being within the city limits, we were able to rent a beach cart for the month we were there and take it to many of the island attractions and shopping, without having to use our truck. What we loved about the house, was the top deck. It is on 3 levels plus, so does involve quite a bit of climbing. The elevator is ok, but we mostly just climbed except to stock luggage and groceries. The garage didn’t have the man cave, as advertised. It had been disassembled. The yard is small. The downstairs suite was dirty. The washing machine didn’t work properly. I do love the management at Port A Escapes and they are usually good to address your needs. The house was pretty clean, but not in as good of shape as expected. When I am in Port A, I always have to fight their cockroaches (Palm bugs?), and this time was no exception. I killed some every day and they were in every nook and cranny, including the kitchen cabinets, countertops, dining table and bathroom. Bugs aside, we ❤️ Port A and its people; we had a great time, every minute of every day.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Port A Escapes was very easy to work with. We enjoyed the view from the top deck. There were plenty of dishes to work with in the kitchen but not a very good spot to place the groceries. We ended up letting them sit out on the counter top.This house was very tastefully decorated.

I actually found multiple hair on my bed sheets and had the smell of used sheets and one of the other guests had hair on his bed too. I couldn't find spare sheets around the house too, I found blankets but not sheets. This was the first time I slept on used sheets and I really felt very uneasy. This was very disappointing. The overall house was very good, but the whole fact that I had to sleep on used sheets was totally yuck! I was there for thanksgiving and I didn't want to call you guys up and spoil your holiday too. When I went by to return the keys, I was in a rush so I couldn't comment at that time. hence, the review.

My only issue is the AC was down the first night. The reason we rented the house was for a Reunion for my husband and old army buddies. I wanted them to have the best experience and be able to relax and enjoy themselves. I was disappointed they had to deal with this the first night. They did call to report the issue and it was fixed.

Great House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved this house, fit 5 moms and 9 kids perfectly. We were very happy with Port A Escapes, it was so easy to work with them. Each time we called for help with the tv, they promptly came and showed us how to work the remote (it was really frustrating, but small in comparison to the home). The home is decorated very well. Beds are comfortable. The downstairs room is a bit hot during the day, but it does cool off at night. Driving to the beach was a bit of a bummer, so I recommend renting a golf cart for sure to avoid what my car looked like each day. I highly recommend this home for it's beautiful, open top floor that can accommodate lots of people and fun.

An amazing time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Checking in was a breeze. When we arrived to the house my family and I were so impressed! My favorite part was the top balcony. My father has issues with stairs so the elevator was a blessing. The house is beautiful! We had an amazing time and before we were leaving already have a plan to return. I can't wait! The only part that was a little bothersome was the construction next door and not being able to park comfortably right away due to one of the workers from next door their truck was stuck parked there for 1 of our 3 nights there.

Roaches on the first floor. 2). Several light bulbs needed replaced. 3). Beer cans & cigarette butts left on the third floor balcony4). Dishwasher full of dirty dishes5). Three drawers wouldn't properly close6). One chair needed repaired. I repaired it.7). Two TV remotes needed new batteries. I replaced them.8). Driveway needs the sand cleared

Thanksgiving on the Island

Bottom floor/Game room bedroom air conditioner; did not work well,had bad smell with mold & mildew in the vents.I am glad we were there in cooler weather or would have been really miserable. Kitchen needs more towels, some pot holders,small sauce pans, and space to put your groceries.We had groceries for a family of 14 for 4 days that had to be stored in tubs in the floor and on the counter. Kitchen is supplied really well with dishes and platters. House does have plenty of room for everyone to have their own space.Grandchildren had a blast. I would recommend ONLY if bottom air conditioner was serviced.

Great Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here with family last week of July. 12 of us in all, from kids to grandparents, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Lots of stairs, which can be challenging considering your age or health, but we all did fine. House is beautifully decorated and well-stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. Great view from the rooftop deck (but the railing is not quite as sturdy as it should be, so be careful). Close to the beach but NOT walking distance; we rented a golf cart for the week and that was a great way to get to the beach. House is also close to town, which was really nice. We would definitely stay here again!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Saturday and Sunday the whole house was hot 80 degree. The thermostat is program therefore unable to lower temperature. Not a pleasant stay when inside of the house is hot day and night. For what the daily rates are not worst the stay. This was my 3 time staying and in the pass didn't have any issues, but it will be my last.

Great Place to Stay in Port A

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen/dining/living space was a good size for everyone. The bedrooms were all fine and bathrooms were clean. The drive to the beach was around 5 minutes or less. One thing we would have liked is to have more kitchen supplies. There was one extra trash bag in the kitchen and we had 10 people staying for 4 nights- obviously more trash. Also no simple things like salt and pepper shakers. Also the balcony on the roof was great except there was a pretty large gap in the railing and they felt loose. This made us feel uncomfortable having any of the two young toddlers up there.
