We chose this hotel because it was not a "chain" and it was located in water. We were not prepared for how old it is. Attempts had been made to update but the new flooring and furniture were very cheap products. Thankfully it was clean or we would not have stayed. Was not a good value for our money.

The Hotel is dated, but it was rather nice and it was very clean for it's age. The staff was exceptional and always went out of their way to ensure you had what you wanted. The views are very nice of Kings Bay and the water front social made dinning and enjoying whatever you liked to drink special. Yes they are constructing a new hotel the sounds won't interrupt your stay. We are planning on going back to this Hotel prior to it being closed for good and it's not because Elvis stayed on the property in 1964, but because this has history and the atmosphere was really great locals and staff made it a nice place to stay. We looked at the owners other properties and yes they are very nice but taking a trip back in time was also nice, I laughed every time I opened the door because they actually use a key. I highly recommend location and this place has it. Enjoy and remember the staff is great

Rooms were disgusting in building B car parking look like it hasn’t been changed or washed since 1941 interior has not been touched since 1941 same with the exterior would not recommend their building a new building and they are not doing anything to update the old ones bathroom sink was removed next to the toilet drain pipe just capped off same with the water along with the toilet falling off the wall every time you used it Location location is great but other than that, I would not recommend

Front desk staff very friendly. Accommodated our request for a lower level room. Restaurant/tiki bar area just wonderful. Able to see manatees right by the tiki bar!! Food was very good. Only downside, rooms are very very old. Major need of updating. However, they are doing construction on 2 new buildings, so i would not hold it against them. Super location!!

Damaged entry door was insecure with large gaps around the door and marginal deadbolt engagement. Loose latch. Insufficient lighting in the room with only one reading lamp at the nightstand between the beds. There was no hot water on two of the three mornings that we stayed there. Large cockroach found on the bedspread in the evening. Great location and beautiful sunsets however. Maybe we just got a bad room.

This is our second stay at the Port Hotel. As usual, the room is older but clean. We didn't expect a 4 star hotel. But if you're looking for an "Old Florida" experience, friendly staff, perfect location, and a great view of King's Bay, this is it. They are building the new hotel next door. I don't think it will have the same charm.

This hotel is a gem! All of the staff were super nice, friendly, and helpful and our view from our room was magical! I can’t wait to go back!!
Our view watching the sunset! In the mornings got to watch the manatee and dolphin while sitting outside drinking coffee! Perfect!
