“This property was so rundown and dirty, I had to cut our stay short by 3 days staying only as long as I had to for our spring training games, Sunday and Tuesday. The man at the front desk was very unpleasant. I was definitely shocked when I went into the room, especially since it also had the Wyndham name attached to it. The day I checked in, I went back to the office and told them we'd be leaving on Wednesday and asked if we could get our money back for the days we didn't stay. I was told……

“This is the worst motel I've ever stayed in. We rented 3 rooms in total for one night because we wanted to enjoy Clearwaterbeach, BIG MISTAKE! The rooms smelled horrible! There were holes in the walls, mold in the bathrooms with visible water damage. The floors were dirty, the linens were filthy, towels dingy and stained. THERE WERE LIVE ROACHES running around and my son had 2 (what we think were)fleas on him. We spent WAY too much money to sleep in a place worse than a dumpster. ”

“Staff is top notch, especially Shannon, however elevator broken for 6 out of 10 days we stayed here. Pool heater broken entire stay. Pool had lots of leaves everyday, there was an older gentleman who cleaned the pool and it wasn’t really his job. So we appreciate him. Rooms could use some updating, sofa was old and stained on the upholstery. Rooms are sparsely furnished. Conveniently located to anything you may need. ”

“I have stayed at this resort several times. The last two not so good from the check-in process and no hot water after calling the front desk twice. Not enough people to clean rooms meaning them telling you check in could be 5pm. Unacceptable”

“Great property with beautiful, well-maintained swimming pool. Great staff was super-helpful. Brendan bent over backward to assist us with our inadvertent double booking. Nice room with super view of the water and nearby islands. Heartily recommended! So nice we came back for an additional four nights. Will definitely come back.”

“Extremely overpriced for the quality of the property. I’d say it’s worth no more than $200 per night. Definitely not the $600+ that we paid for 1 night. Linens could definitely use replacing or some bleach. Everything looked dingy. Only positive was the location. Will not be staying here again.”

“We stayed here for 4 nights in March 2026. The location is absolutely fantastic - steps away from beautiful downtown Dunedin. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, modern and spacious. We’ve stayed in several places around Dunedin and this was definitely my favourite thus far. Keep up the great work!”

“The main pool had not been cleaned at all in the 3 days that we were there. There was tons and tons of things from trees floating everywhere in the pool. It was so bad that myself and other guest asked for a net so that we could clean up. But there wa sjust so much that it awful.”
