"It was a wonderful little get away for our first time up to cuyuna. We came to try out the bike trails and enjoy family time. We loved the quiet and “out in the woods” feel. The kids loved the fishing and water access. Plenty of space to sleep. We did have to drive our bikes into town being we had younger kids and a bike wagon but it wasn’t too big of a problem. The older kids in the group were able to ride trails right from the property. There were a few larger spiders I could have done without in the cabin but also part of being in the woods. We will be back next summer for sure!"

"Enjoyed our stay. Property was nice to accomodate our group of 2 couples and 2 teens. The area has some nice shops around a very short walk away, coffee, breweries. Was able to get in and out with no problems, the host was very accomodating."

"This was a fantastic property and the landlord extremely attentive to our needs. The huge, screened porch, with lots of comfy furniture, has gorgeous views of the lake. The kitchen was very well appointed and lots of seating areas even for a large family. Tons of hot water and lots of towels. There was a super canvas swing/seat down by the lake for quiet reflection. The ability to do laundry was a plus with kids. Landlords provide both a charcoal grill and a gas grill. There was a fire ring but it was too hot for us to have a fire. The house had whole house air-conditioning which was a must given the extraordinary heat and humidity during our visit. Blackhoof Lake is not really good for swimming from shore but Cuyuna State Park has two swim beaches that are crystal clear only 8 minutes away. The fishing was outstanding and the public boat ramp nearby if bringing one's own boat that can be tied up at the house's dock. There were board games galore, plus ping-pong and foosball. It was a short bike ride from the house to feed into the Cuyuna State Park bike system that can be ridden into town for ice cream or peel off to the mountain bike trails. The only downside was the bunk house had no air conditioning and was wet/damp. They did provide several large strong fans. We did not use it so it did not affect our stay, and in the colder months with heat and/or the fireplace I expect it would be just fine. It was the BEST. All in all- we can't wait to go back!! "

"This property was one of the nicest places we stayed in a long time not a whole lot to do in Crosby especially cuz we were in rain everyday but other than that nice quiet probably would go back."

"Great stay for 2 families (4 adults amd 4 kids). Rooms and bathrooms are small but it adds to the charm of the gnome house. Dog-friendly with fenced in yard!Great spot for walking trips for donuts, coffee, candy, ice cream, shopping, and parks on top of the bike trails. Really close to everything but quiet too! Upstairs can get warm but each room has great fans in ceiling and tabletop. Having the garage for safe bike storage was a huge plus!"

"The place was better than we even expected for two couples who were there for a quick biking centered weekend. As advertised it is right off the bike trail with easy access to both the paved Cuyuna Lakes Trail but also the Mountain bike trails. And the air conditioning was very appreciated after a hot sweaty bike outing. As 2 couples in our 50s, there as PLENTY of space. One couple stayed upstairs with a full bath while the other stayed downstairs with a full bath. It would have even fit a third couple well given that there was a third bedroom on the lower level. We cooked both nights and found everything that we needed n the fully stocked kitchen. Thanks for a great stay. "
