"The staff were amazing especially the check in staff. Sad to say this was the only 5 star thing about the hotel. The hotel lobby is clean and modern, but once you get to the rooms its like getting taken back in time. Rooms are very dated, and just not up to the usual shangri la standard. Fixings were loose, screws protruding from door chain. The price was cheap, but with the shangri la name you still expect decent rooms. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again, but will still stay in shangri la in other countries"

"If we could give more than five stars, we would gladly give this hotel seven or eight stars. The facilities are beautiful and spotless, but the exceptional service is what truly makes this hotel outstanding. As first-time visitors to Shenzhen in over 25 years, we had difficulties using Alipay and WeChat Pay. The reception team was incredibly patient and helpful, guiding us through the process. One evening, a kind receptionist even helped us order and pay for our meal when we were unable to do so ourselves. Her kindness made our stay especially memorable. To celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, the hotel surprised us with a lovely fruit basket and a complimentary room upgrade. The staff also went above and beyond by assisting us with urgent late-night laundry service before our next trip. We are deeply grateful for the warm hospitality and outstanding care we received. This hotel made our anniversary trip truly special, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shenzhen. We look forward to returning in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+"

"The location was convenient and check in process was prettt seamless. Our room, as usual with the Hyatt, was large, comfortable and had everything we need. We were particularly impressed with the toilet! We paid extra for the Hyatt Club and had mixed experiences. The afternoon tea was extremely disappointing, as there were barely any food choices and when they ran out, they were not replenished. When we asked the staff, they became confused about the time and said that it would not be refilled. We also asked for some tea and this was somehow forgotten about and we had to re order. We thought that this might only be for one day, however it was consistent on both days. Barely any food choice and what was provided was sub standard. By contrast, the evening cocktails and food were fantastic. Plenty of choice and options which were very tasty and varied. The pool was heated which was very nice, however we were all made to wear hats which we have not experienced before. Check out process was pretty straightforward. The breakfast restaurant was fantastic and had a lot of variety as you would expect with Hyatt."
