Freshly Remodeled Private Beach home, walk to beach and shops - sleeps 8

This private home is located in the charming Del Mar Beach Colony area. Steps to the white sand beaches, with staffed lifeguard towers and well kept restroom facilities.

Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with friendly neighbors this beautiful, private home is perfect for families or small groups. U-VERSE TV & WIFI, Apple TV, and wireless indoor/outdoor surround sound stereo -all included! Our home also has AIR CONDITIONING which is a nice luxury in Del Mar.
The fenced in backyard is truly the place to entertain - a hot tub to soak and relax in, a built in BBQ and outdoor fridge, wireless sound system to listen to all your favorite music as you dine outside and plenty of room for kids to play and for you to entertain without feeling cramped. It is an easy walk to the beach, or down the street to the unique shops and restaurants in Del Mar. Great surf beaks within walking distance!
The home has 3 bedrooms -
Master has a king bed with tempurpedic mattress, Guest Room has a queen bed with new pillowtop mattress, Kids Bunk room has 4 new twin pillowtop mattresses, and the Family Room has a Sectional with a SLEEPER SOFA which makes into a full size bed.

A Remodel just finished Nov 2024, key features of the home include:
-2 full Baths and outdoor shower
-Parking for '4' in the Newly Widened and Paved Driveway
-Built in Bar b que with Outdoor Refrigerator
-Hot tub
-Air conditioning
-Laundry Room with full size washer and dryer

We keep it fully stocked with everything you could need for a day at the beach (towels, boogie boards, cooler, lounge chairs, buckets and toys) as well as a super cool cart to transport it all hassle free. After your fun day at the beach, shower off the sand in the outdoor shower and put your surf board in our rack!

Just like our home, Del Mar has something for everyone. Famous for its beaches, fairgrounds and the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 'Where the turf meets the surf', there are many other reasons that make Del Mar so special. Torrey Pines State Park is 5 miles down the road and is a beautiful place to hike all year. Its centrally located to many of San Diego's favorite 'must sees' -Scripps Aquarium, Legoland, Sea World & SD Zoo are all short drives (20-30 min) and Disneyland is a 2hr drive. Great surf, sunshine, picturesque coastline, white sand beaches, tennis, fine dining, horse racing, and world class golf -Del Mar will keep all your friends/family fully entertained.

The entire experience renting and staying at this great house was a pleasure! Our host was amazing, and communicated with me to ensure we were totally satisfied. The house was great! Amazing location a block from the beach, and about 400 ft from a cute coffee shop! We spent the Thanksgiving holiday visiting family in the area and will definitely return in the future!

Amazing house just a block from the beach in Del Mar. Great outdoor space and hottub. Home is clean, comfortable and appears newly remodeled. The owner is super helpful and responsive. She went out of her way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a wonderful stay. We will definitely come back!

The location of the house to the beach is super convenient with an easy walk for small children.Although the house is on the smaller side it handles a small family well.The back yard is lovely with nice shade for little ones to play.The hostess was super responsive to any request made.We would definitely want to stay here again.

Classic beach house; recently renovated. All modern appliances; well stocked; great spa; nice neighborhood; lots of TVs! And our host Stephanie was always available and very accommodating. We hope to return soon!

Fantastic property

We had a wonderful stay! Great home with every amenity we needed for young kids, including a pack n play. Great location, just a couple blocks from the beach in one of the best Del Mar neighborhoods, and house has an outdoor shower to rinse off sand. Owner was very friendly, helpful, and quick to communicate. Home is one house away from the train track, though surprisingly quiet and quick (trains pass by in a couple seconds), this was not at all a noise issue for us, even with young kids. We had a great stay and plan to rent this home again when we’re back in town.

Updated home less than 2 blocks from the beach. We had a great time with 2 families. Hot tub was great after beach days. Kitchen has everything you need. 80s arcade games were a blast for all. Would return again if in Del Mar in the future!

Quintessential beach house!

We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO’s … but nothing has ever compared to this property. The house was immaculate, well stocked with all linens, sundries, etc. and very well maintained - inside and out! The list of amenities just goes on and on! The beach gear was thorough and included everything one could possibly want to take to the beach. Stephanie was attentive and approachable and quick to offer suggestions/recommendations. We loved this house and will come back over and over!

Beach House in Del Mar

My family and a few friends had a wonderful stay at the Beach House. It is in a great location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and bars. Some excellent amenities include a hot tub, BBQ, outdoor dining table, outdoor shower, and a garage full of beach toys. The owner was very attentive to our needs.

Chipped bowls Stained old looking towels The VRBO description says "Guest room has a queen bed with new posturepedic pillow top mattress" -It is a far cry from the truth. The "Pillow top" is a stained foam piece and the "new mattress" has a huge blood stain. We didn't inspect the master bedroom's mattress-because we slept in there and were afraid of what we might find. Filthy trashed wood floors-our children's socks were black Broken window blinds in the master bath-we were unable to use that bathroom. Anyone could see in the house. The shower handle in the hall bathroom falls off. Hot tub cover is torn. We did not use the hot tub. One light is burned out in the hall bathroom. The tile in the hall bathroom shower has several cracks. The wood deck out back needs to be refinished. The toys in the "garage" were filthy, basketball was flat. The outdoor lights come on and stay on until 11 pm. They are so bright we could not block the light in the master bedroom where all of us slept. The slat was coming off under one of the top bunk beds. We did not use that room. Corners of the wicker chair in the front room was chipped. The listing says parking for 4 cars. No way! The listing says outdoor fridge-it is only available to the homeowner.

Perfect for girls weekend

Seven of us ladies stayed at Stephanie's house and it worked out great. The location is excellent and very close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. It has great gathering areas in the backyard and in the living room. It's nice that it's on a dead-end street as it made things very quiet. Stephanie was extremely accommodating and responsive. Great experience.

This home is cozy and a bit older but it is a very low traffic street and very close to the best beach entrance! We had a great time over Christmas and the host is very responsive and accessible if needed.

Nice little beach house, walking distance to beach, driving distance to shops/restaurants and located on a quiet cul-de-sac. Perfect location. Just an FYI (because I didn't realize prior to) the property is very close to train tracks. It wasn't super disturbing but just good to know if it might impact your decision. I probably would stay again even with the train as it didn't run through the night and wasn't super loud. Property owners were very responsive and no issues. Solid A.

Great Del Mar House Near the Beach

Wonderful stay and very responsive owner. The house is a short walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes. All amenities in the house, including a fully stocked kitchen. The house has large bedrooms and plenty of linens and extra towels. On demand hot water heater. The hot tub and backyard area is excellent, including an outdoor TV that we enjoyed. Overall, the house is A+ and we will be back to visit again!

Perfect beach retreat

Our family traveled from all over the country to enjoy a reunion at eve beach. This was the best place for that to happen! The garage provided all the toys for the beach and a wagon to carry everything! The house was clean and had plenty of toys for the kids. The adults enjoyed arcade games and the hot tub. Definitely recommend this place.
