“We loved the pool and the location. The house was beautiful and our room was too. However, the listing on Expedia says there is “free” offsite parking 0.3 miles away. When we arrived the spots on the property were full so I took the parking suggestion sent in my guidebook and headed to the 34 St Phillips Street Parking Garage. When I got there I found out that parking was in fact not free, but $1 per 20 minutes with a maximum of $24. I was willing to pay this, but was disappointed because I……
“Wow, everyone from front desk to valet to room cleaning were friendly and helpful. Lots of smiles and attention to their visitors. The nicest hotel I have stayed in in years.”
“Close to everything and plenty of perks with free snacks in room and lounge. Rooftop terrace has amazing views and a great spot to relax. The free drinks and appetizers from 4-5 is also a great perk. The day we were there we were so busy touring the town we missed lunch, the free bacon wrapped chicken bites hit the spot. Additionally the free breakfast was fantastic, far above what you’ll get at a normal continental breakfast. First day we were there it was eggs Benedict. ”
“Lovely, bright, quaint space on a quiet street within easy walking distance of King Street. Hosts were very attentive and quick to communicate. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!”
“This was a lovely property with a nice, large room with kitchenette and big bathroom. There were no VIP perks or even knowledge of it so it really should not be a VIP property. Breakfast basket was nice and varied each morning. Wonderful coffee shop attached. Nice rooftop pool for a quick cool off. Wonderful location with proximity to King Street and College of Charleston. ”
“An upscale choice I a city with new hotels every year. Room large and comfortable, staff all friendly. Bars and restaurants very good. Classy clientele. We will stay again.”
“Such a great boutique hotel with Charleston history and charm. Easy walk to King Street for shopping and lots of great restaurants and bars. Loved the happy hour and included breakfast — visited with other guests at both. Todd took care of our bags and parking our car and Louisa at reception gave us lots of restaurant and bar recommendations. Want to stay longer and come back!”
“Perfect location enables you to be within walking distance of everything. The location allows easy access to come back and freshen up before heading out for the evening.
Beautiful and clean inn with historic charm and modern amenities. Uber comfortable beds and the term “continental breakfast “ does not begin to describe the wonderful spread they put on each morning. Staff is helpful, attentive and yet not in your face.
Completely added to the amazing experience we had in Charleston. Looking……
“The Iris was exactly what I needed, except maybe the car carousel. Technically, my vehicle fits on the SUV carousel, but not really. That was frustrating, especially since I slightly damaged my door. User error.
The location of The Iris is perfect. Just off the highway and a few blocks from the famous King Street. This is downtown/old town Charleston, so you might feel a little uneasy if you aren't familiar with being downtown in a city. However, The Iris has its own tall gate system that……
“We were there for our anniversary
The hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful! We loved that we could walk everywhere from the hotel. ”
