"Our room was not cleaned; new sheets and towels, more toilet paper, facial tissue, etc. for the three nights we stayed. We specifically told the desk personal that we needed all new towels, new sheets, etc. Sunday morning, June 7, before we left for the day. We returned, 9:30PM and nothing was done. We spoke to the desk person, but because he had just come on shift, could not do anything about this other than give us the towels, toilet paper, to carry back to our room. Mistakes, errors, can happen with many people staying at this inn. However, an adjustment, credit, contact from the manager, etc. would be appreciated and would be an encouragement to return to this hotel next time we are in Buffalo, or use La Quinta in other places. Our refrigerator did not seal, useless to leave food in it. There was writing on a wall, possibly from a young child in a prior stay. This did not seem to be noticed when preparing our room for our arrival. The toilet paper was extremely thin and rough. Perhaps a better product could be found for those using the facility, as well as better quality facial tissue. Overall, the building and parking lot were clean. The breakfast was adequate. For the good of all using LaQuinta, please install a minimum of one grab bar in the bathtub/shower. We are seniors, two of many in this age group who rely on this safety. It is not a matter of being accessible, but a matter of safety when showering. Thank you for your consideration."
"There was a lot of noise from other guests and it was expensive for a basic stay. The pool area must be the biggest draw but we had no need to use those facilities. Room was clean and comfortable but bathroom tub needs some attention as it was chipping and the caulking was showing signs of mould."
"The room had a nonfunctioning A/C and one of the curtains was off its hooks…. called front desk and was given another…. not a good first impression, plus lingering smell of marijuana near the outside doors which btw, required being pulled closed behind you…. bed and shower were decent/ very good… the place seems to be needing a well needed remodeling…. front desk people very helpful and friendly…. expected a bit better for the cost of the stay..."
"The whole place was elegant & clean. Check-in went easy. Only complaint was we scheduled the shuttle to the airport for 5 am on the night we arrived; also double-checked it the night before departure. Shuttle didn't arrive, told my name was not on the list! Then, the driver forgot to close the back doors!....we were lucky our luggage was not all over the highway."
"The room was nice and clean. But it was really small for a hotel room. It lacked an alarm clock (basic nessitity) It would have been nice to have a luggage rack to put our luggage on instead all our suitcases were on the floor. There was no lighing upon enetering the room. You had to go by the bed to turn the light on over the bed."
"Night light was out in the room. Went to front desk and told them. It was immediately
fixed. Breakfast was very good and a nice variety. Staff was very friendly."
Studio 6 Corporate Extended Stay Buffalo Amherst NY
2/10 Terrible
"I am requesting a full refund for my stay at Studio 6, 125 Inn Keepers Lane, from June 6 to June 7, which was booked through Expedia.
My family and I arrived at the hotel at approximately 11:00 PM and had to wait about 30 minutes to complete the check-in process. After a long day of travel, this delay was frustrating and inconvenient.
The most serious issue occurred about two hours after check-in. When I used the washroom, water began overflowing from the toilet and continued to spill onto the bathroom floor. The water spread beyond the washroom area and reached our room, creating an unsanitary and highly uncomfortable environment for my family. This made our stay extremely stressful and unpleasant.
A clean, safe, and properly functioning room is a basic expectation for any hotel stay. The condition of the room, particularly the toilet overflow, fell far below acceptable standards and significantly impacted our experience. Instead of enjoying our stay, we were forced to deal with a serious maintenance and sanitation issue.
Given the delayed check-in and the unacceptable condition of the room due to the overflowing toilet, I believe a full refund is justified. The experience did not meet the standard of accommodation that was advertised or reasonably expected.
I kindly request that Expedia review this matter and process a full refund for this reservation. I am happy to provide photographs or any additional information if required.
Thank you for your time and assistance."
