Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed in D104 and it was used as a gathering place for the entire family (14) and to have meals and visit. The dishwasher did not work & required replacing the motor. It still does not dry. The location of this unit can't be beat. The carpet is dirty and needs replacing.

We loved the low kitchen peninsula and stools, along with the ample seating in the living room. Also in an ideal location between beach and pool. We loved it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Master bedroom was too crowded & bath was small w/loud pocket door!Refridge top was filthy....very neglected. Also bedroom windows (2) sills were filthy...dead bugs, spider webs , etc.Water hose was great! Towel & float holder was not put together securely. Too close to washer & dryer ....not much space to open doors to closet.All Lower cabinets should have knobs ....dining, under bar & bathrooms?Loved the condo was VERY QUITE & bed was comfy! Also, beach toys to use was super!

Ceiling fans would have been nice, but at least there were fans in the closets. There was also a musty smell under the kitchen sink and I feel like I had to wash the kitchenware under the sink prior to using them. Overall it was a decent place to stay.

This works much better than the smaller, higher bar area that is in so many other condos at Silver Dunes.Picnic style table is also perfect for space. New washer and dryer were such a nice bonus and the complimentary Bech Service!!’

The couches werent comfortable and the couch bed is broken so the kids had to sleep on the floor. The decor was a little outdated but other than that everything was great! We loved the fact that the condo had carpet.

Silver Dunes Complex is the best!

Reviewer Comments: Silver Dunes is the Ideal place to stay with kids, you just can’t beat the green space with awesome pool at one end with spectacular ocean front at other end!I do feel this unit is in need of updating, that would be the only reason I would suggest looking at other units. We rented 3 units and this one was not as nice inside or porch area as the other 2.

Property manager confirmed opening. Property was just as pictured. Could have used more bath towels- was 3. But all was clean and nicely laid out for us. Big beach area and nice pool and hot tub. Nice to be on ground level for easy walkout to both.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful week in Destin and a repeat at this condo, just steps from the beach. The condo itself needs many, many updates. The ceiling in shower coming off and kitchen cabinets falling apart. The sliding door also consistently stayed off tracks, even after having maintenance repair. We will return to this complex, but will not rent D104 until updated.

VACA with the grandkids

Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at Silver Dunes in the 80's and 90's, took a break for years to go to 30A, but came back to Silver Dunes recently, mainly for the grandchildren. The property is very family friendly, with the courtyard, the outdoor movie night, the live music and s'mores night, plus being steps from the beach. I do feel like the unit we stayed in was in need of updating. The kitchen and baths were very much in need of updating in particular. There was even popcorn ceiling pealing in the master bath. It has carpet throughout, which is also not ideal for a beach property. The 2nd bedroom was very cute, but the master didn't have anything matching, which is not a big deal, but would be so much more eye appealing if the drapes matched or complimented the bedspread. I would recommend Silver Dunes, but maybe a different unit, one more updated.

Annual Family Beach Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Destin and Silver Dunes condo but the condo I was in (D103) was in very poor condition. The moment we walked into the condo we noticed the carpet was very stained. The wood on the front door was chipped and the title on the patio was broken and was being concealed with a door mat. I spoke to another guest and apparently the tile has been broken for many years. My family enjoys the courtyard and convenience of being on the ground floor and the shirt access to the beach. We rented two condos and D104 beds were not comfortable. Thank you.

A Family Vacation

As our three children became adults with their our families we now rent four (4) units, using our unit as a central gathering place for meals and such. George (the beach manager) is like family to us.

I called the front desk and nobody ever returned my call. The unit is run down the drywall peeling on the ceiling in the master shower. The couches cushions are so flat it's uncomfortable to sit.
