The accomodation exists of a main house (kitchen, living room, master bedroom) and two smaller units (both double bedrooms with their own entrance and private bathroom). Easy access to all the sights of the Sassi and Matera, and of course more cafe's and restaurants less than 10 mins walk. Very centrally located for dining out and getting home after a day of sightseeing. Alberto was a great host - his wife would leave us cakes and focaccia while Alberto made sure we were stocked up for the week with pastries for breakfast and housekeeper who kept us...

"We are two young families who booked this wonderful property to use as a home base for traveling around together in Southern Italy and we are so glad we did. The home's proximity to Matera is perfect as it was only a 10 min drive and we were able to explore the city daily (the owner's recommendations for dining and sites were spot on) and then return to the expansive property and enjoy wine and the breathtaking sunsets while the kids played in the huge pool. "Conveniently located just a short walk from the entrance to the Sassi. Many restaurants and cafes there. Street parking available on street in front of apartment. Only problem was that WiFi did not work. Fortunately, our phones are on an unlimited data plan."

Not only had he stocked the refrigerator and cupboard with goodies, but he also arranged an emergency dental appointment for my husband, drove us there, and acted as our interpreter. "Funktionelle Unterkunft, nur ca. 350m zur Piazza Vittorio Veneto. In der Unterkunft ist alles vorhanden, bei Ankunft erhielten wir von Prospero und seinem Sohn viele nützliche Informationen. "Der Pool ist riesig und das Personal sehr freundlich. Deutsch spricht hier niemand, aber die meisten können so weit Englisch, dass man sich verstängigen kann. Die Apartments sind groß und wir hatten auch eine wunderschöne große Loggia, die wir sehr genossen haben. Allerdings sind die Apartments nicht besonders schön eingerichtet, und bei uns kam auch der Putz von der Schlafzimmerwand. Dafür fand ich das Doppelbett sehr bequem, allerdings waren die Schlafsofa selbst für die Kinder...

"A really charming, family friendly home offering both indoor and outdoor comfort! The home was really well equipped to meet all our needs. The pool and shaded outdoor areas were the highlight for our family (the sunshine helped of course). Our family of 7 were very comfortable in this lovely home. The caretaker, Pepino was a gentleman and most helpful. We made day trips to Matera, Noci, Alberobello and our location was perfect for this. We would recommend highly."
