Wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the waves in this private, oceanfront home on the bluff over the Caribbean Sea. This is the perfect place to let it all go and relax completely. De-stress and connect with yourself and the sea like never before. Cane Bay Sanctuary fosters feelings of peace, tranquility and even bliss.
Meander in through the private gate, past the pool and into your beautiful two story, 2 bd, 2 bath private home. In-JOY outside dining on the deck above the waves, or sit at the beautiful kitchen table overlooking the sea. There is an amazing reef right in front of the house that is mesmerizing as the surge from the waves waterfalls down. It's very unique, rare and special for the island.
Both bedrooms are quite large and both are oceanfront with A/C. The living room/kitchen area also has A/C.
The upstairs, primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and 2 decks. One deck overlooks the sea with a spectacular view to Hams Bluff, while the other sits above the the fully fenced back yard, looking out towards the road and the lush, green hillside.
The downstairs bedroom is equally as large as the primary with spectacular ocean views and a sitting area on the deck outside the private entry door (off the main deck). The bathroom is a few feet down the hallway.
INTERNET & SMART TV
You can stream Netflix or whatever you like with the high speed Internet on the smart TV, and there is also cable so you can watch local news and not miss your sporting events.
SUSTAINABILITY:
The home is solar powered and collects and uses rain water. Eco-conscious hand soaps, dishwashing soap and laundry soap are provided for you. There is a whole house UV filtration system which provides clean and pure drinking and showering water. Feel free to use the 4, stainless steel bottles to take on your adventures around the island--no need to buy bottled water and waste the plastic
CANE BAY BEACH:
Cane Bay is walking distance from the house (or a very short drive). Be sure to take the beach chairs, beach towels and coolers provided for you. Sweet Bottom Divers is in Cane Bay as well as "The Landing" and "Spratnets Beach Bar & Grill", or "Off the Wall" for some food and drinks after your water adventures. Sunday Funday is hopping at Cane Bay Beach with music and lot's of locals. Weekdays are chill with not too many people.
WATER ACTIVITIES:
Divers and snorkelers--Cane Bay is one of the best spots on island with the famous "Wall" that drops down 2000 feet not too far off the shore. See turtles, rays, fish, coral and sometimes dolphins! Swimmers, this is your spot! Distance swimmers will love swimming in Cane Bay--make sure to ask me (the owner) about the regular swims M/W/F/Sa mornings.
GOLF:
Hit up Carambola Golf Club, right down the road 10 minutes, with its course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE:
There are several wonderful restaurants nearby, and 5 within walking distance (AMA, Off the Wall, The Landing, Spratnet's Beach Bar & Grill and Sunny Shore Up Food Truck).
SHY DOG ON-SITE:
There is another smaller home on property where I, the owner, and my dog live. Zuri is my little sweet rescue that really needed a home. She's getting more and more confident with guests, and don't expect much dog time with her, as she's still very shy with others.
*Unfortunately, my two dogs that you read about in the earlier reviews, Whiskey and Cyrus, both passed away 5 weeks apart Aug and Oct 2023. They were loved by my previous guests and are dearly missed.
The property is one of the larger lots on the sea with half an acre and is completely fenced in with a cement wall with wood slats on top (very private). The pool is shared with me and "Zuri" who I'm teaching to swim. The pool is clean and you can hear the waves while in the pool. Sunbathing and cocktails poolside anytime are wonderful.
*Private chef available for some or all meals for an additional cost (subject to availability-reserve in advance-just ask me).
**Guests staying as Cane Bay Sanctuary should like dogs and be aware that the front gate always needs to remain closed. Thank you.
