"I recently stayed at a Hyatt Place and had a very mixed experience. Upon arrival, the lobby was beautiful and welcoming, and the woman who checked me in was very kind and helpful, which I appreciated after traveling.
However, the elevators took an extremely long time, which quickly became frustrating
-especially with kids.
When we first entered our room, I was happy with it. It seemed clean and comfortable at first glance. But once we settled in, I started noticing things that made me uncomfortable.
There were dried drips of some kind of liquid on the room door that I didn't catch right away. The next morning, when the sunlight came in, it made everything more visible-and honestly, it was pretty disgusting, especially since I had my small children with me. Thankfully, I had brought antibacterial wipes.
On the second night, we went to the pool, which was another disappointing experience. It didn't seem like any rules were being enforced. There were children without adult supervision, fighting, using inappropriate language, and running wild. One child was even playing on the handicap chair, which was concerning and unsafe.
Later that night, after returning to the room, I noticed a large buildup of dirt and grime along the shower door while cleaning up water from the floor. It was pretty gross and made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. On a positive note, the breakfast was a nice addition and my kids really enjoyed it. I would suggest adding waffles to make i"
