  • Cosy, comfortable cottage detached, surrounded by meadows. On the outskirts, 8 km from the centre of Dunkeld, in a quiet position, traffic calmed area, in the countryside. Private: flowers and trees, meadow, parking at the house. Bus stop "Butterstone" 2 km. Golf course (18 hole) 8 km, walking paths from the house 100 m. Nearby attractions: Dunkeld Cathedral 8 km, Pitlochry Theatre 13 km, Dunkeld & Birnam Golf club 8 km. Please note: car recommended. Fishing [permit required].
    "Craigton Cottage", 2-room house. Comfortable and cosy furnishings: large living room with open-hearth fireplace and TV. 1 double bedroom. Kitchen (oven, microwave). Bath/shower/WC. Heating (extra). Comfortable furnishings in the country house style. Facilities: iron. At the house. Please note: suitable for families. Non-smoking house.

very pleased

homely old fashioned cottage, well equipped kitchen, tv has a built in dvd player, very clean and comfy, just what we wanted for a weeks stay. I would check out the location on google maps before arriving. Owners very nice and helpful. be aware that we could not get a mobile phone signal in butterstone. got one in Dunkeld.

Clean, comfortable double bed, good bathroom ,well equipped kitchen, decor rather dated, all electric. sitting room sofas very uncomfortable.

Out of the way

Stayed in this cottage for one week. It is still in the 1960’s. Decor furnishings and facilities are very poor. No investment in the property for many years. The owners arrived at 9.30am to make sure we didn’t leave without paying for electric. Charged £15.55 for use of a tv and shower. No WiFi which although we new to be the case was not ideal. With COVID almost everything had to be booked online. If your looking for a little luxury this is not the place for you.

Our stay at Craigton Cottage

Property not as described, no WiFi and no panoramic view of river. A very pretty cottage. Bedroom, comfortable. Sitting room, basic, uncomfortable couches. Kitchen, very basic. Best feature, the log fire, without it, we would have had a huge electricity bill. Hosts, need to heed COVID restrictions and NOT enter the property at the same time as the guests, come in when they arrive and touch surfaces, handles etc. also came in ten minutes before our book out time of 10am. Not on!
