Updated Pet Friendly Condo - Walk to Main Street - Central AC

Our 1 bedroom (loft) and 1.5 bathroom condo is all about it's location near the heart of Durango's historic tourist district. The condo is just 5 blocks (less then a 10 minute walk) from Historic Main Street and a seemingly endless supply of restaurants, shops and galleries.

There is one covered parking spot under the building and the condo features Central AC, a washer/dryer and small balcony. Its located right across the street from Durango Joes coffee shop as well as Durango Natural Foods Coop. Please note stairs are required to reach the the condo (with additional stairs to reach to the 2nd floor where the berdoom is located). If you are not able to do stairs, please do not book this condo.

Main Living Space - Queen Blow up mattress (w/pump), Main Floor

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

All & all pretty good. The getting into the apartment was difficult as we weren’t given the code for the door into building. Called the number provided and all was good, but should have had code beforehand.

Very clean with comfortable master bed and bedding. Large loft area for the master. Overall, a good property for a single or couple wanting to be close to downtown - I walked there a couple of times. Great coffee place right across the street and restaurants you can walk to.

Instructions/Communication were very clear. The condo had everything we needed. It's in a great location as you are in walking distance to the downtown hot spots. I didn't give the highest rating because the surrounding building were very sketchy. We didn't encounter any issues, tho.

Convenient location, very comfortable

In town for business, this condo was perfect for my needs. Clean, convenient, and comfortable. Only minor flaw was the parking spot, which is small and often occupied by other vehicles, but other spots were available so not a huge deal.

Everything was great

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this property! I had my small dog and stayed with my fiancée. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and we had everything we needed. There was no smell at all in the property, and taking my dog outside was easy, we just went to the bottom of the stairs. The area is also very walkable. We stayed for Thanksgiving and there was plenty of parking, but that may have been because other residents were out of town. I enjoyed the security on the property. We also utilised the air mattress, which stayed inflated all night. As for cooking, the basics were there, although we could have used aluminum foil and more spices. Overall was very comfortable and would stay again.

Perfect location for trails and downtown

Loved that I was able to get to some trails or to downtown in less than 1/2mile ! Super comfy bed, air conditioning kept it cool even upstairs in the loft, and everything was modern and clean. Only very minor negative was that it was a bit limited in variety of cooking implememts, ie i used a very ginormous not-at-all nonstick pan in order to scramble eggs. Not a big deal overall, just be warned in case you were planning to make yourself elaborate meals. There were really nice appliances though!

Good visit

We had a wonderful visit to Durango. The place was clean and a good location. It suited our needs for the visit. Please note that the parking space that comes with the unit is very small. With a large truck, we were unable to use. I'm not a fan of all of the packaged supplies that come with a Vacasa rental - not very friendly for our earth.

Conference at Fort Lewis

The unit was clean and well maintained, but light switches were hard to find sometimes. There is a parking space available but it was small and oddly shaped and our truck would not fit in it. (Next time we will confirm parking). We did park on the street no problem. Over all a good stay.

This was a great place to stay. Very comfortable. Good location. Minor things that would have made it better: The parking spot for this unit required a bit of maneuvering to get in/out of structure due to pole placement and entries, the shelving in the full bathroom was kind of dangerous, especially given the trash can placement — my husband hit his head on the cornerpretty hard and we were very careful after that. The balcony doesn’t have any furniture to sit on and the view is of other apartments across the alley (ie, none!). Would have been nice to sit out there anyway!!

great... except for

#1 problem: it's summer and the bedroom is on the open loft upstairs and the one small vent in the corner of the room is not enough. Also no windows in loft bedroom so even though the temp dropped into the 60's at night the bedroom was very warm. Ceiling fan isn't enough. All the heat from downstairs rises into the bedroom. Don't plan on air conditioning in the bedroom if you're here in the summer. #2 I sat in the leather chair in the living room and had pet hair on my clothes.

This was a great stay for a work trip that occurred during holidays, and we really enjoyed Durango from this location. Everything was just exactly perfect except for I had to do a small bit of cleaning upon arrival, and more importantly, the dryer heat seemed to vent directly into that closet (not sure if it was venting outside).

This condo unit was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, so conveniently located, quiet, safe, with covered parking…we were able to easily walk to downtown so a couple of days we didn’t even use our car. With the Sojo Amenity boxes throughout the unit, we had everything we needed for our stay.

Great location

My husband and I stayed here in June 2023 to check in on our youngest son who is an FLC student. We love the proximity to the college and downtown, although I find that walking to downtown is a bit of a stretch. The unit was super clean and fit all of our needs. The bed was very comfortable. A few maintenance notes: The ceiling fan cover in the master bath is dangling from the ceiling by a thread. Looks like it may fall off any moment. The shower water pressure was very low. The spray wand in the kitchen sink was stuck in the 'on' position, so turning on the kitchen water resulted in us getting sprayed in the torso. My husband tinkered with it over the weekend to get it unstuck, but it should really be replaced.

Great Location

Great location, some traffic noise, and stairs up to the unit. The first photo in the listing said there is a queen sofa bed in the living room. It is just a loveseat. Other than a few small things, the condo was comfortable and well equipped.

Condo was fine - check in, not good

Upon arrival, the instructions told us to go up the outside stairs with a code to get in the door on the 2nd floor. We hauled our luggage up there, and the code didn’t work AND there was a sun faded note on the door saying to use a different stairwell because this one was deemed unsafe. We then hauled our luggage to the opposite side of the building to the other door, and the entry code did not work at that door either. After calling the management company and sitting and waiting for about 20 minutes (outside with our luggage after a long day of travel) a resident of the building let us in. She told us the code that was given to us hasn’t been used in over 6 months. Once she let us in and gave us the code, things were fine. We happened to be there for a wedding and needed an iron, the one in the condo was old and had rusty water coming out of it. We bought a new one and left it there. We were promptly reimbursed for the iron and also given a $100 refund off the condo price for the hassles of check in. Would stay here again but I would ask the property manager to confirm the code prior to getting there.

It was a cute comfortable condo for 1 or 2 people.

Good location. Liked having a covered space for my car. The floors where alittle dirty as evidenced on my socks. The afternoons were uncomfortable inside around 85 since no AC. I closed blinds and opened the one window available but just not enough air flow. But nights cooled down and was pleasant.
