“My room was more like a small apartment which was clean & comfortable & the free breakfast was a nice bonus. I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but it was busy and smelt delicious, overall a very good value for money stay & I’ll definitely stay at the George again if I’m in town.”

“Lovely large room. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Generously refilled daily. Very friendly and helpful staff, made us feel welcome. Bar and air conditioned restaurant serving good homemade food. Good portion sizes too. Bus stop outside. Only 15 mins into Bridgenorth which is lovely too.”

“Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures”

“I booked a normal standard room, but I was given an accessible room instead. Unfortunately, the room was extremely dirty, especially the bathroom. There was a significant amount of mould, the toilet looked like it had not been properly cleaned, and there were stains everywhere. I went to the staff to complain about the condition of the room, but I was told that I would have to pay extra to change rooms. I do not think this is reasonable, as the accessible room was not the room I originally……

“We had booked fir three nights, at a cost of over £250.00. We also booked a meal which was disappointing and with drinks cost over £60.00. It was not a good experience. There was no fan to aid ventilation in the room, bearing in mind that we have been in an extended heatwave, and the room was located in what would originally have been the attic and was extremely hot with only one window. On the way to our meal I explained the situation and requested a fan. The response was that they didn't think……

“Staff on reception very helpful. Secure parking was a welcome bonus. The room was spacious enough for one/couple. Tea/coffee in room. Shower gel.and soap supplied. Plenty of hanging space. Very warm and a fan was supplied. Bathroom was clean and large enough. Overall very good stay. Didn't have a breakfast so can't comment only, it smelled delicious.”

“Joules and her Son were absolutely wonderful hosts. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was outstanding - lots of choice and super fresh and tasty. Joules’ baking was a great surprise treat, a lovely touch in our room on arrival and the Brownies later in our stay were out of this world! Our room was spotless, very comfy bed, lovely armchairs with the spectacular view over Ironbridge and the valley.……
