Family fun vacation

Location is great. Five minute walk to the beach. Very quiet beach. Home is really spacious and clean. Easy check in and check out. Eastham is conveniently located to other towns such as Wellfleet, Chatham and Provincetown.

Exactly what we hoped for

Location was wonderful, in a part of the Cape that I'd never explored before. House was lovely, spacious, and well designed. Felt secluded and nestled in trees but had a lovely view of the water and the sunset. Del Mar staff were prompt and diligent with all communication, and resolved issues immediately. Would happily stay here again.

Beautiful location, but…Five stars for the location: Unobstructed views , a short walk, past two other homes, to the private beach, an easy drive to Orleans and Wellfleet. You aren’t right on the water — which is hard to tell from some of the photos — but you can see the bay from the windows that face it. Four out of five stars for the house, which was clean and spacious. The beds and couches were comfortable. But other than the basics, the house had minimal furnishings and the weirdest layout I’ve ever seen: three “front” doors. Three separate foyers. Two staircases, and a setup where, to get from parts of the first floor to the laundry room, you have to go up Staircase One and down Staircase Two — or walk through a bedrooms. And although this was billed as one of Del Mar’s “premium” properties, it felt less high-end and more “we renovated in 2003 on a budget and no one’s updated since.”And three out of five stars for the rental company. The house was missing things that should be, and once were, standard, like beach towels, and brooms and dustpan. My guess is that the company wants you to pay for its cleaning services, and its 170 “beach fun package,” with chairs, cooler and towel. When you’re paying upwards of 1000 a night it’s no fun being nickeled and dimed.

This was the perfect place for the 6 of us adults with 2 infants and 2 dogs. The house had everything we needed and Del Mar customer service was super accommodating and friendly. We had a leaky sink and they fixed it quickly including buying a new part. Everything was clean and comfortable and nicely maintained. The views off the balcony were beautiful, and the pristine beach was a short walk away. We would be happy to rent this property again when we’re in the area.

South Sunken Meadow dream.

House was beautiful and accommodated us perfectly. I have spent summers on the cape right up the beach at Cooks Brooke as far back as 1960. This rental locstion was very nostalgic for me.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

This was our annual family vacation, all adults and one small dog. The space was great for our needs providing separate private spaces as well as great common areas in which to gather. The location was amazing! Right down a short walk to a beach on the bay. We had plenty of beach time but even during the inclement weather we were able to enjoy the beach, ocean and sky from the second floor living, dining and kitchen areas. When the weather allowed the deck off this area was perfect for morning coffees and happy hours not to mention the grilling. The management company made check in and out a breeze as well. The place was charming, comfortable and clean. It had all the accoutrements necessary for cooking as well as entertainment for all. We had a wonderful week and would definitely return if the opportunity presents itself. Thank you!

Beach Bliss

This was a perfect retreat for our family and friends! Great house set up allowed everyone their own space; having the beach just steps away from the house meant easy enjoyment of beach walks, sunset viewing, and relaxation! The property was very welcoming - clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen gadgets and kitchenware - ease assimilation to beach vacation!! Well worth it!

Beautiful Property!

The home is comfortable, spacious and lovely. There was plenty of comfortable seating and we really appreciated the opportunity for multiple activities to take place independently—conversation, meal prep in one area, games in the other. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
