The property location, household facilities, furniture and appliances and back yard were wonderful. Charlie and Michelle were amazing hosts to each and every one of us! We would definitely recommend this location to anyone who is staying in or near Edinburgh. Truly wonderful hosts and home and vacation because of them!
Incredibly spacious and clean on a nice street! We had no trouble taking an Uber or bus into city center. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the backyard.
Meeting in the middle we met up with our friends from Yorkshire as we live in the Highlands.
Perfect house for a family or friend's getting together. Lovely personalised experience home from home. Great location for uber access or walking into Edinburgh. On arrival we were greated with bread, milk, eggs, biscuits an abundance of hot drink options perfect after a long snowy drive. Very good stay would definitely recommend.
The cottages is delightful and was very well stocked and provisioned. Clean, comfortable, and with quick and easy access to the best of Edinburgh without being in the city itself. Walking distance to the beach. No trouble parking and navigating. We highly recommend it!
First of all, Charlie was great! We had major train delays and didn’t arrive until the middle of the night/very early morning and he was so nice to reach out with concern.
He was very welcoming and quick to assist when we had issues with the heat. The welcome treats were fantastic! Much more than I’ve ever seen at other rentals.
This was a great location for my group of 5. The common living area was nice sized and allowed us to gather together, yet have our space. I’d definitely book again, next time in Edinburgh!
We spent 3 nights here as it seemed close enough to the city center. We were more than pleasantly surprised with what a great location this is! Close to Portobello Beach and such an easy commute into New Town. The house is very clean and well kept with plenty of room for our group of 6. Lovely warm touches. Would certainly stay again!

From communication, to cleanliness, to accessibilty (thank you again for going above & beyond by investing in some portable wheelchair ramps to make access even easier) this property just hits every level.
Close to the City Centre, near the beach, near attractions & amenities with great transport links, just couldn't fault it .

The house is very nice with nice furnishings and the bedrooms are a decent size. The bathrooms are small but manageable. The back patio is also nice.The front door is a bit tricky to open/lock it, but once you figure out you have to lift the lever it works fine.The Host has a nice binder with info about several things that was very helpful.The 3rd bedroom is located upstairs in sort of an attic, it has ample space but that room was warmer than the others, the other rooms the air conditioning was perfect.We only saw the washing machine, I did message the host several times asking where the dryer was but I never got a response so we were not able to do our laundry. There is a clothes line outside, but we didn't have enough time to put clothes to dry on the line outside, we wanted to use a dryer inside the house. We didn't get to explore the nearby beach side, we only focused on the downtown area and Uber was a bit expensive, although we know we could have used the bus, there's bus access nearby, but for faster service we always used Uber.
