"Honestly we have stayed in thousands of hotels and Hotel Rector would be in our top 10 - if you go to Salamanca this is the hotel to stay at. The staff especially Ignatius and Andrea went beyond the norms of reception - we would recommend the hotel it was fantastic."
"Just a 10 minute stroll to the bustling area of shops, food-path zones, restaurants and cafes. This hotel surprised us with a fantastic double room that allowed my spouse to wake early and enjoy coffee without disturbing me. The breakfast was top notch, with great coffee.
Parking is affordable and easy with the garage next door- it has a car elevator! "

"Historic, beautiful, friendly and knowledgeable staff combined with reasonable rates will bring us back any time we visit the city. Can’t recommend highly enough. "
"Wonderful stay in this lovely hotel. Incredible views of the Cathedral and University. Staff were brilliant and a special mention to the gentleman on reception who drove us to the train station on his way home because of temporary issues with the local taxi service. Thank you!"
"Extraordinario hotel para parada en Salamanca, muy buena ubicacion walking distance del centro historico, estacionamiento para el auto, staff muy amable, muy buena habitacion. Lo recomiendo 100%."
"Excellent hotel on all fronts.
Location is amazing, right smack bang in the middle of the old town. Staff were super helpful and very proactive in helping us with luggage, onward travel arrangements and amenities.
Breakfast buffet is good, with lots of Spanish options fresh seasonal fruit and also more traditional breakfast fare.
I do note that there was a small issue in our room that caused some inconvenience, but it was rectified quickly and professionally."
Go on a self-guided tour of the church, chapels and cloister of this centuries-old convent. Admire gorgeous religious art and see where a saint confessed her sins.
