"We arrived at the accommodation to be met by the host, a lovely lady, who offered us a dram to warm ourselves, the first one to do this in 3 weeks in Scotland. The accommodation is lovely, very homely with a comfortable lounge area if you want to socialise. The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable, with on-suite wash room with a shower that did what you want a shower to do, towels supplied. There were a few to many cushions on the bed (IMO) but I'm a guy so not surprised, my wife loved all the cushions. The host gave up the run down of the town and listed all the eating houses so we could get something to eat. The accommodation is positioned in a quiet back road with easy parking and just a 10 minutes stroll to the town center. Breakfast was filling and well cooked, filling and we met the chickens outside the window that provided part of the breakfast. If you want homely, friendly, comfortable and affordable ( worth the money ) this is the place to book."

"Be sure to book ahead if you want to eat at the restaurant. Parking is out of premium. It’s a grand old place with a lot of history and close to a small village with a couple of restaurants which you should also reserve at. coaches full of seniors come here, so there’s a vibrant scene at the hotel bar"
