「We really enjoyed our stay at this location, it’s a hidden gem with beautiful countryside around it, a great host couple, and many places to explore close by. Our 4 year old daughter loved the horses, alpacas and dogs on the property. Great long weekend location outside DC. Very cozy, well maintained house.」

「The site was naturally beautiful, on top of a mountain. As I sat out next to the BBQ grill, a deer walked out into the driveway and stood on its hind legs to eat new leaves off the nearby bushes, just 20 feet away. The property was clean and had everything a person could imagine needing. The owners were friendly and gave me plenty of privacy. There's nothing going on nearby other than nature, but if that's what you are looking for, it is an excellent stay. 」

「We required an overnight stay near Shenandoah, and this place was an ideal fit. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best time to explore Shenandoah.I wish that the last mile of the road would be paved with asphalt next time.」

The building has an amazing history, the smokehouse history was fun to learn about, and the town had an event called "first Friday" where local bands and vendors showcased on Friday night, and our host was always attentive to our needs, available, and pleasant. 「My sister and I rented this guest home for a getaway weekend. Mary and Jay were incredibly welcoming hosts who clearly love their animals, and are eager to share their experience with them if you are interested. Incredibly, almost all of the animals on their farm - cats, dogs, mini donkey, horses, and one of the alpacas - loved being petted. The location is beautiful, private, and peaceful. Grateful for their hospitality.」

「Worked for our needs- 2 adults and a dog- but the hot tub is really the only bonus. House is small and clean and kitchen stocked etc but the beds and furniture not super comfortable and lacking any charm or extras that most VRBOs provide.」
