Lovely home by the ocean

Great location, dog friendly and rustic.

We like the home's close proximity and easy walk to the beach. Guests can view the ocean from the living room or the deck. The house is simple but with all the amenities one might need for a relaxing stay, plus it is dog friendly!

Relaxing, quiet getaway by the beach

Very relaxing few days with family in this cute house with gorgeous views of the ocean and sunsets. Great location across from beach access, to enjoy long walk on the Heceta beach and quite neighborhood. Would come again.

Great new years trip

Stayed with a few friends and my dog for new years. House was clean and cozy with a wonderful view of the ocean. There was also plenty of space and it didn’t seem crowded. It was easy access to the beach as well. I plan on staying here again. I wasn’t sure how to check out as it wasn’t clear; hoping they won’t charge me extra since I didn’t see the text message with the check out link until an hour after we left the house at check out time.

Cute little beach house

Although the house is not actually right on the beach, it is straight across from an access, giving it a beautiful view of the beach. We had beautiful sunset walks and thought this house the perfect size for 4 people. It can sleep 7, but that might get a little crowded. We will be back!

Location-Location-Location

This house is across the street from the access to Heceta Beach. The view out the large main room windows makes this a great place to stay. The house is very well laid out. We were able to have my in-laws over for dinner one night. My father-in-law, who uses a walker, was able get around very easily. We set him up in front of the windows, and he was so grateful to see the ocean. We are glad we stayed at the Pelican Perch.

Great stay

Very relaxing, great access to the beach. The front deck was enclosed so it was nice to have our dog contained . Our daughter is 15 but I can see a young family with little kids really being able to enjoy the deck, being able to have them outside without worry. Nice and sunny, west facing, a little sun trap even on a partly cloudy day . The cabin had everything we needed and was as advertised. A real gem, I’m so glad we found it. We are planning on coming back sometime!

I liked that you could see the ocean. The house was okay, but the heating and the stove need to be updated. If we hadn't brought extra wood we would have been cold, and the stove had a burner out and the oven was kind of ify.

The view was beautiful. But the house was filthy! I should get my cleaning fees back!

Comfy with Easy Access to the Beach

There is a fenced in porch/deck across the front and one side that was perfect for our medium sized dog to do some people and dog watching while we humans could sit and enjoy the wonderful view of the ocean. The beach is across the street and down a very short, easy to traverse, trail. The house is small but makes great use of space (open concept). It has lots of windows facing the sea, the couches are comfortable, and there's plenty of entertainment when it gets dark (cable tv, games, books). The beds lean firm, which was okay for me, and there are lots of bed pillows to choose from. It does not have a dishwasher but it has a good sized sink with a pullout spray faucet. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and I hope to do so again soon.

Cute little cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cabin. The location was wonderful just across the street from the beach with a nice view of the ocean from the front deck. The deck looks like it’s brand new. The house was well equipped with everything you need in a kitchen, except a dishwasher of course. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice supply of towels. The only issue, we almost we’re not able to get into the house because the locks do not work Properly. We were able to only get one door to open with a key and it took some doing. We were then afraid to lock it when we went out because we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to get back in. We notified Vacasa regarding this and was told that they would be out to fix the lock. They of course did not come to fix it. Even though we were advised at least two times they would be there.

Cozy, homey, comfortable

Older, cozy, comfortable, homey cottage. Clean, great view. A curtain in the main bathroom is needed. The glass is smoked so when closed you can't see the neighbors but when opened...the neighbors look directly into the bathroom. With no overhead fan, opening the window after a shower is needed. Directions for using the television and the remote system would be extremely helpful. Also a tv guide. When flushing the toilets, a rather large bubbling sound moves through the pipes...dont know if this is air in the pipes or a backup beginning. It is heard greatly in the 2 bed bedroom where the hot water heater and laundry machine is. A newer bbq would be nice or clean up the rust on the existing bbq. The kitchen, the furniture, the beds, the cleanness inside was wonderful. The view spectacular. Nice to sit on the front porch but can view ocean from inside also. We would recommend and return.
