Was a little misleading at first getting king suite cuz they put us on first floor and the view is definitely partial ocean from there. I did express concerns and they did fix it. We would 100 percent come back

The staff here was very friendly. A call out to Cynthia at the front desk, who went out of her way to assist us when needed, and always with a smile. The restaurant on site regularly had excellent food. Fresh and well-made, from appetizers and breakfast to dinner! Awesome oysters, and app’s at happy hour. We loved eating here while having good live music playing in the evening! That was a bonus. We loved eating there, and with a great view of the beach! The food is consistently excellent here.The servers were friendly and knowledgeable, and Matt was the best server! He made your experience dining a good one, was always upbeat and easily accommodated our dietary needs.(Gluten free). We also loved the service on the private beach. It was never overly crowded and the beach attendant Chris always made sure to find us loungers and was quick to put up an umbrella too. Very attentive. They would even serve you food or drinks if wanted at the beach or pool. Hard to believe this was only a three star resort. By the way, our room was actually cleaned daily & without having to ask. I liked that. Would definitely return. The best decision we made was to get an oceanfront room! So well worth it. We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean and relaxing on our balcony, on our loungers while looking at the beautiful ocean and drinking our espressos!! Good coffee bar near the lobby if you didn’t want the espresso coffee machine in your room. Would definitely return.

My fiancé and I travel back to this location every spring break. It’s a beautiful place to stay however, where are some issues with the air-conditioning not working but they did get it up and running.. also looks like areas of the resort needed updating pretty bad. I know my specific room 803. My husband and I were not very happy when we first checked in the cleanliness was not great and paint was peeling off the walls of our bathroom.!!! my family lives next-door in the brand new condos and we would like to continue coming back here every spring break however, it definitely needs to be updated!!

My feelings are mixed about this resort. We had terrible weather while we were there, so maybe this has affected my review. The restaurants are not super close to walk to. Pompano pier is not a bad walk ( if it’s not raining), but not super close. Lauderdale-by- the -sea is 2.5 miles walking. There is a strip mall across the street with a deli and a pizza/ dive bar (did not try). So close options for food are limited. The room was clean but dated. The sofa bed that my son slept on was terrible, but our king bed was comfortable. There was no regular coffee maker in the room only an espresso machine so that was a negative. It was hard to find a good cup of coffee nearby. You pay $5 for a cup of terrible coffee in the lobby. The area out back by the bar ( oceanfront) was nice. The pool area is ok.. nothing exciting. On another note we did have good food at to different locations by the Pompano pier. If I were to go back to this area I would stay closer to Lauderdale-by- the -sea.

My ocean view room view was beautiful I flew in from Fort Lauderdale rented a car very easy ride to the resort. Great valet service great reception. I think they could use a little bit more amenities and of course, some home improvements on the room. It’s time to update the room. I’ve been here three times and enjoyed each one thank you again.

The location, food, bar, beach and the entire staff make the Beachcomber an excellent property choice! I think of it as a small, intimate cruise ship as opposed to a mega size cruise ship. I like the former. Yes, it is not all shining and new but it is so comfortable and welcoming. It was relaxing without effort. Saturday night we went to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and as soon as I got out of the Lyft, I wanted to go back to the Beachcomber. One drink and an appetizer and we headed back. You can tell the Beachcomber is family owned and operated. And they are doing a great job. Definitely plan to go back.

Was a very nice trip for our family of 3. The pool area was great, partial ocean view was even better than we thought. Loved having the balcony for morning sunrises. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Smooth check in and check out. The room itself was good but the bathroom could’ve used some updating- didn’t fit the vibe of the rest of the place. Plenty to do without leaving the resort- pool, beach, coffee shop, entertainment. We’d come back!

All staff was great. Especially service folks. The front desk folks was a misfit. Not welcoming. But because of limited exposure to them and the rest of staff excellent. I’m rating excellence on all other staff especially restaurant, beach, bar, and pool area.
