"The staff was wonderful. The views were great from the room and the pathway over to the beach was a nice walk each evening. The room was a typical hotel room. We did like having a fridge available."

"The Huron Haven lives up to it's name. I shared the home with my daughter & her partner and 5 grand kids....and we had an excellent stay (with the youngest wondering why we couldn't stay for 'just one more night'.It was a great location to explore the north and south shores of Lake Huron, including stocking up on Plath's Meats bacon (a big hit with everyone).The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for the masses, all the beds were reported to be super comfy and I really enjoyed morning coffee on the little deck off the Master Bedroom.One feature that was a pleasant surprise was even when the wind was whipping up the waves on the lake, the breeze up at the house was minimal...either some great planning was done or it's serendipity - either way, the view was wonderful and we all enjoyed watching for freighters at night as we roasted the marshmallows for s'mores. All 8 of us would recommend this property...it seldom gets better than this!"

"Kitchen amenities were abundant. Rooms all nice and plenty of toys, floats, etc.Needs: Hot water temps in Kitchen and main floor BR were inadequate..Too low for cleaning and comfort.We could not lock the sliding glass door to the back area."

"The location is perfect, sitting right on Black Lake. A great view and wonderful spot for our nightly fires and star-gazing. The building has quite a bit of nostalgia for our Gen X group, reminding us how motels used to be years ago. The kitchen area was big enough for our group when we wanted to be together indoors, and the covered area outside was very large as well. All around a great location and when we are in the area in the future, we will surely be looking to stay here again!"
