「It was what I expected」

「The hotel was filthy and to make matters worse had NO hot water. I tried to get a refund to move elsewhere, but the manager refused. However, when confronted about the hot water situation, he just shrugged his shoulders and replied "sorry, nothing I can do"」

「Starting with Emily at the front desk, to the clean room with brand new carpet, to the clean pool and an impressive breakfast bar, we were impressed with this find in Allendale! Much to our dismay, we arrived in Grand Rapids only to find all hotel rooms in our budget were filled already due to a sports event. We drive a little further and happened upon this gem! Would definitely stay again.」

「Staff was not the type to go above and beyond. Breakfast was cold. Looks like they are renovating the rooms were very nice. Fitness center is not open 24/7 if that is your thing. I think things are going in the right direction for the hotel but I think this is a transition so there will be growing pains.」

「This place was disgusting! I should have known something was amiss when the total price was $180 for two nights. The lobby smelled horrible, the room was bleh, the shower had flaking paint, stains everywhere, the towels were stained! You can honestly spare a couple extra dollars and literally go ANYWHERE ELSE and get a better night stay. Oh and there is no security, I hear someone screaming for help so god knows what was happening with that. Oh, and if you like the sound of smoke detectors...
