I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. "Breakfast was fantastic, but the executive lounge could have offered better food. The light dinner and snacks were a bit of a miss — not just for me, as some of the dishes were barely touched every night. Overall, the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, and while the hotel may be a little dated, the location is fantastic. We had just come from staying at the W Shanghai - The Bund in a suite on the 33rd floor, so perhaps my expectations were set a little high. That said, this was still a very nice hotel in a great location and offered good value for the money."
